Be patient. Why the hell are you bumping your thread 4 times a day?

Posted by psychosonic on Nov-09-2005 12:44:

nice tracklist.

review will follow.

Disappointed with the jump from your intro to the first tune.

Listening on though....

Posted by razor nukels on Nov-09-2005 23:30:

because i can bump it 4 times a day haaaaaaaa

Posted by farley on Nov-10-2005 05:40:

if you're wondering why this didn't get a response from di.fm...you need to clean up your mixing *alot*. most of the mixes had major slip ups (the mix into say hello was particularly gash...i mean how many times are you gonna finger correct and not pitch adjust), and i'm trying not to be critical as a dj but just as a casual listener. your timing needs a bit of work too, there are numerous times where you'll start bringing a track in only to have the first fade out into a breakdown and the incoming track's volume is never raised enough to compensate. also, a good amount of these tracks aren't exactly current (especially for a 'demo'), and the flow isn't that great imo to be honest. looking at prev tracklists it seems to be the same...i don't see this demo deserving 4 bumps in one day, let alone 1.

anyways, flame away cos i'm sure i'm gonna hear it...lol.

*edit* and the intro, ie Advanced's breakdown into nothing, then a digital voice and then into proggish tracks...that's gash and on top of that the whole voice bullshit has been done to fucking death.

Dude you wonder why nobody is commenting? Probably because nobody is downloading it. And if they are, they probably don't want to comment and hurt your feelings. Obviously you take yourself very seriously and I'd hate to deflate your ego so I won't say anything about it either.

P.S Bumping your own thread four times in a day makes you look pathetic.

Dancing Dude

Just like your other mixes, this one was just as brilliant! I may know nothing about Dj-ing but I know a good mix when I hear one!

Posted by razor nukels on Nov-10-2005 07:00:

wow, we seriously have some bitter people on this site, if you guyz notice i didnt bump the thread 4 times in a day, go ahead and look at the posts with the date on them, u will notice that the person that said i bumped it 4 times a day, is being overly sarcastic, and then i replied with an overly sarcastic response, so stop being so serious and enjoy the music, just cuz you sour people wake up on the wrong side of the bed everyday, doesnt mean you can bring the rest of us down that didn't!!!!!!

also i'm sorry if i dont have the hottest newest tracks that are unreleased at the moment, but some of us still only spin on vinyl, because we prefer those means of DJing.

all in all i like that u guys are trying to bring me down, cuz it only makes me better, so a big thank you for all your lovely comments, keep them coming, because guess what you took the time to give me your opinion so i in turn will respect your views and work on my flaws, because yes, we all have them, and they all can be fixed in time!!!!!!

You people are ridiculous. The only reason why you dis on him is cause you're all jealous. You say he can't mix? You gotta be kidding me! The set is perfectly mixed, you're just trying to pick out things to say all the negative feedback you can. How about you tell him what was good about it as well? It makes you look like you're the one that's having problems with your ego.

we don't need lame crit here!

What, so only rainbow-colored, candy-flavored positive comments? Seriously I listened to one of the sets and I wasn't impressed. Am I not allowed to post my opinion? And besides not being impressed, the tracklists are quite outdated, whether or not you're a vinyl purist.

Oh and sorry, it was 3 bumps in a day.

Lol @ this...not to be too harsh, but if this is your idea of 'perfectly mixed'...I don't know what to say here. +1 for trying to improve tho, it's cool to be able to take harsh words and let it fuel you to be better. plus it takes balls to post your demo on a board full of assholes..lol.

btw the vast majority of promos still come out on vinyl before cd unless you're a BIG name dj...just gotta know where to look.

Posted by Chris Larkin on Nov-10-2005 19:03:

As the others who have posted before, the mixing on this one is pretty poor. It's not atrocious, but it does prevent the mix from flowing as well as it should.

It seems there is an ethos on here of not giving any bad fedback, but that's ridiculous - how will anyone improve if they can't be told what they're doing wrong?

Anyway, in order to deflate further the original poster's massive ego, I think he'll find that he played the Solarstone Remix of Jump The Next Train there, rather than the Kyau vs. Albert Remix.

i will have to agree i like all those tracks but the mixing is kinda off the volumes wernt set right, and like other people said the timing seemed a bit off,

dude just know when you post on this site your gonna get some nasty replies, people from england and all over europe are very picky with there trance,

just take the things people say into consideration, it will only make you better,
