Arrow Kimball Collin@Amps, Tampa This Saturday

Kimball Collins is gonna be performing at Amphitheater@Ybor this saturday.

The last time i saw him around Tampa was a low-profile wednesday night when he had just stopped by for a an hour. He was on the set for an hour or so and boy, he plays some of the best trance and house music around. It was unfortunate that there were like hardly 20 odd people at that time since it was neither a regular night nor a publicized event.

After a 4 weeks vacation and a crappy night of Agent-K's CD release party, Kimbal Collins is definitely gonna start my post vacation clubbing.

Kimball is pretty sick, I saw him over the summer @ Spundae in L.A. He played a crazy ass set. The Amp seems too commericalized, but might check it out.

I'll be there before midnight, for sure, if its free. I live 2 blocks from Amp so if anyone wants to chill hit me up.

place will definately be packed, it ususally is, and its the owner John Santoro's Birthday bash so it should be pretty nice

Smile The place was definitely packed

Unlike Santana's show, Kimball Collins got to get on his sets as early as 12:30. It's been a while since i've seen any DJ at the Amps been able to get to the centrestage before 1:00.

Kimball Collins played some good music and the house remained packed till the end - a rarity of late at the Amps where people start leaving by 2:00 am usually.

That were not more than 1 or 2 tracks that i could identify - most of what he played seems to be his own production.

Also, he didn't give out any CDs.

All in all, an excellent night.
