Spain all the way.

Switzerland is playing Turkey and it'll be a pretty interesting game between these two sides. I really hope they can get through this and reach the playoff's - It's not at all impossible and do you guys remember Latvia in the last playoff's Turkey played..?

Czech Republic has got Nedved back again, That's a very important player for this team. The Czech's were totally amazing during the Euro 2004 with Nedved, But without him it's gone very badly, They were pretty close to miss the oppurtunity to play in Germany next year - But instead they managed to win over Finland and very easy too..

Spain is one of those teams that always got the referee's on their side, They were actually pretty lucky to even reach this playoff. If the referee didn't reach for a card and whistled a penalty in the 96th minute against Bosnia & Herzegovina, They wouldn't be here today to play against Slovakia.

Uruguay managed to take the 5th place in the Southamerican Qualifying group and they're playing their game against Australia.
Australia on the other side has got Guus Hiddink on the bench, One of my favourite managers and I highly admire his work.
Guus is only the manager of this team, But can he inspire the players enough to get them to win this game..

Uruguay is favourite in this game when they've got world-class players from the Spanish La Liga.

Trindidad & Tobago has managed to get through this far and they're standing on the entrance too the World Cup in Germany 2006 if they manage to win the first game at home.

Bahrain has got really much luck so far in the qualifying, Uzbekistan was really unlucky not to win the match, Both in Uzbekistan and in Bahrain.

Luckily for the Bahrain-people they've got the posts with them.

THE RESULTS:

Switzerland VS Turkey
First leg: 2-0 to Switzerland
Second leg: 2-1 to Turkey

Czech Republic VS Norway
First leg: 3-1 to the Czech's
Second leg: 1-1 a draw in Norway

Spain VS Slovakia
First leg: 2-1 a late goal on penalty for Spain
Second leg: 1-0 to Slovakia

Uruguay VS Australia
First leg: 2-1 for Uruguay
Second leg: 2-1 for Australia and extra time where it'll be a massive search for a goal by Uruguay while Australia struggles with getting the game to penalty shoot-out - If there is going to be penaltys, Then Australia will win, But if the game is decided on extratime, Then will Uruguay win the game.

Trindidad & Tobago VS Bahrain
First leg: 2-0 for Trindidad & Tobago
Second leg: 1-0 for Bahrain

Im saying:
Turks: Too much talent for the Suisse if they can come together sometimes they just dont play like thier potential *cough* Inter*cough*

Czechs: Norway has no shot I think Czech's are too strong
Spain: Although I hate their racist coach I think they will beat Slovakia Torres, Raul, etc put on a show

Uruguay: They will crush the Aussies I cant see them stoping the Uruguays who are an underrated side in my mind because they always make the playoffs for the WC not auto qualify. Should be good matches but Uruguay will score 4 combined both legs.

T&T: Bahrain has an F1 race thats enough for them

Maybe the turks is too strong for Switzerland, But I've seen them a couple of times during the group qualifying-round. I'm not very impressed with their way of playing, Still I know that they're a very strong team that played very good against Brazil in the WC Semifinal back in 2002.

The team has changed for sure, But I'm pretty assured that they've got to play much better in the last 30 minutes of both matches to get through..

I think that Norway is a very underrated team, They've got one top-class player in John Carew, Currently playing for Lyon and doing it very well. The Nordic teams has got this spirit to manage to play against the biggest teams in the world, I think they really like too be underrated while playing their games, Pressure isn't anything for them..

Australia is nothing compared to Uruguay's great team atm, They've got some really good players in La Liga and good back-up too. If only Diego Frlan, Zalayeta and the guys begins to produce goals, Australia will be very weak.

I would love too see T&T in the WC 2006

Yeah Carew is gonna have to come up big and I mean BIIIIGGG if Norway has a shot.

Emre, Nihat, Tuncay, those 3 are better than any of the Swiss players in my mind

I agree on Carew has to play two very big matches against Czech Republic. I really think that Norway's got a fair chance to beat the Czech's - They haven't played a big torunament (WC or EC) since 2000, I think they really want this and they've played very strong teams and won, For an example Brazil in the WC98.

Maybe, Turkey has the individuals and I agree on that they've got better players like that, But it's the team that wins the biggest matches, and not single players..even though they really can play stunning sometimes

Let's hope for a win here for Switzerland, Hehe

Yep, Aragons is not a racist. The famous quote that he said to Reyes was very inappropiate, but that doesn't mean that he's a racist.

Cameroonian Samuel Eto'o defended him those days ("Anyone that says Luis Aragons is a racist, is an ignorant. He was trying to motivate Reyes" Eto'o said). Eto'o said several times that Aragons is his grandfather. Moreover, Luis met a lot of great black friends during his career, as a player and as coach.

That last sentence sounds like one of those quotes from Remember The Titans, At least it's what I think about when you say like that..

Nevertheless he should've appologized and the spanish fans should've not acted that way in that England friendly that was a complete disgrace. Any nation/person in western europe(the world but western for now since its rich and educated) that treats others not equal should have no place in football or anywhere.

Back to the topic: the Swiss have probably one of the youngest and promising mid-fields(Barnetta, Behrami, Vogel, Cabanas) them to play well is probably the main key in this match up. The defense minus Senderos, the Goalkeeper, and the lack of striker talent Vonlanthan and Chiumento(if he was called up) are good but Frei doesnt win me over.

I dont know though they have suprised me I thought they would be a better pick for WC 2010

It's cool too have young players, But they have to get major support from the older players. Vogel is an important player for this team, Just like he was for PSV Eindhoven when they nearly conquered Europe last year..

Too be honest here, I've only seen Behrami and Barnetta play a couple of games, I've seen Vogel alot and he's a good player, But the other one's that you're talking about, Haven't even heard about them before now..

the best you've seen Cabanas might be good but Barnetta and Behrami are like the future Pires/Figo type players apparently.

Sure Behrami has got the ugliest hairstyle in the world, But he's pretty good at Lazio atm. I've seen him a couple of times and I really think that he's pretty good.

I'm not sure if he can play for bigger clubs in the future, But he's surely got potential to get better than he already is..

What's wrong with Frei? I'm not too familiar with him, but I thought he was a quality goalscorer?

Yeah he's pretty much like that. He was completely shit for the last 3,4 seasons and then BAM! 9 goals in 10 matches.

Anyway, my predictions:

Spain 2 Slovakia 0
Slovakia 1 Spain 1 --> Spain qualify

Switzerland 1 Turkey 1
Turkey 2 Switzerland 1 --> Turkey qualify

Norway 0 Czech Republic 1
Czech Republic 3 Norway 2 --> Czech Rep qualify

Trinidad & Tobago 1 Bahrain 1
Bahrain 1 Trinidad & Tobago 0 --> Bahrain qualify

Uruguay 3 Australia 2
Australia 2 Uruguay 1 --> Australia qualify
