Above & Beyond - Alone Tonight

Only herd one version, not sure if its the final version but i really like the male vocals in there with beautiful a&b production as seems to be the case with everything they're doing atm. amazing breakdown. Unfortunatly i don't think it will be released until febuary does anyone know anymore on this ?

I hope they will release dub mix.
Male vocals sounds bad.

without the vocals it's average, with the vocals it's horrid

to be fair i've not been too keen on male vocals over the past, however they work for me in this track.

If your into uplifting trance, then id of thought u wouldy like or atleast respect above & beyond for what they do and have done over the years ......

.....i am a big fan, so suppose i could be bios just hope ur not one of these people who believes that unless you listen to music no1 has herd of or that less people are into ur not underground or have a mature taste.
I do hear all the time various people say " above & beyond its just boring club trance " i suppose it just might not be some ppls taste but then what more do you want for " uplifting trance " > spot on production, beautiful vocals (most of the time) and really nicely worked melodies?

" typical above & beyond shit " - You'd find it very hard to name a set of producers who have been as CONSISTANT in bringing out top quality tracks with the level of production over the last 5 years. so how u can say its " TYPICAL " is beyond me. maybe this track isn't to your taste but to say all there stuff is bad from a trance fan is just a strange one for me, each to there own i guess .....

Big a&b fan, sorry !

Rant over

I can name numerous producers who have been more consistant and contributed way more than Above & Beyond.

Yes this is typical, even for a fan of uplifting this is just average. Nothing special at all.
IMO they haven't done anything spectacular since their remix of Madonnas What It feels like for a girl back in 2001.

As i said this track in particular may not be to peoples taste but "typical" would emply that everything they did is of a poor quality. Something i find hard to understand - 2001 is within 5 years tho i just think there production has been hard to match on a " typical " basis over the last 5 years.
maybe because more than a dozen people listen to them now days its not considered " real " trance, and considered comercial by the " trance elite "
Wish i was in that club

I absolutely loved their older tracks, back when they were on mp3.com and I had no way to listen to much as far as decent new trance went. Off the top of my head as far as consistancy and quality? Leama and Moor, Junkie XL, Stuart Price (aka Jacques Lu Cont aka Thin White Duke), King Unique, David Guetta.

I could go on with more names and yes I know a number of those are house artists and that they havn't been as mainstream over the course of the last 5 years but they have pretty consistant quality, especialy the first three.

I still enjoy uplifting trance, I'm just VERY picky with it now. One of the only uplifting tracks I've enjoyed lately has been Stenna - Skyline.

I thought that their remix of Dido - Sand In My Shoes was just plain awesome.

This is sooooo much better than "No One On Earth" IMO. Does anyone know the name of the male vocalist in this song?

Posted by Ek0nomik on Nov-14-2005 05:05:

I need a sample of this.

Posted by StanVoid on Nov-14-2005 05:07:

the vocalist strongly reminds me of Damae from Kyau vs Albert feat. Damae - Velvet Morning

Posted by NightShade1 on Nov-20-2005 22:24:

I like it !

Posted by TranceLuver4evr on Nov-21-2005 06:55:

they could do much better

Posted by DJ Libor on Nov-22-2005 00:23:

For those wondering who the vocalist is ....

Taken from anjunabeats.com, interview about the new album released next year.

Q. Who else is on the album, singers etc?
Paavo: We've been working with some amazing singers, including Richard Bedford (who sings Alone Tonight and another song), Ash from Luminary, an exciting new British singer called Hannah Thomas and we've done a beautiful new track with Zo Johnston too.
