anyone done this?

i'm considering a mod chip, or using one of the exploits and doing a soft mod.

lol, not myself no, but I have a good friend whose set em up for a few people, and I plan on doing it to mine soon... He also used to do the hard mod's, but I know he ruined at least 1 Xbox doing it... Thank god for lenient return policies...

Hard Mod really isn't that, well, hard. Find a good source of information on how to do it...I recommend www.xboxforums.net. If you've ever soldered before, I recommend a hard mod.

i dont have a xbox, but from what I know about the modding process, a modchip is definitely a better way to go if your gunna want to play on xbox live.

I have a friend who is very happy with his softmod + 120GB HD, but i dont think he plays live.

get on EFNet (IRC network), join #xbins, and watch the topic for details on how to gain access to all the xbox related software. they should have everything you need for any modding solution, software or hardware.

Softmodded it.

started by doing a hotswap using UDE and putting in EvoX.

then used the FTP and put on PBL

then installed a couple emulators and no i can play just about any game on the xbox :-D

will not work with xbox live anymore. when you connect to xbox live, it checks for updates on your dashboard (your menu) and if it updates it, you will most likly crash your xbox and render it unuseable.

got my ps2 and xbox modded.. it kicks ass.. u go rent a shot load of games slap em in.. and take em back.. and ta da.. you have th game stored on there for good..who ever invented this is a genious..

i've read about a couple things of being able to network over the internet because EvoX addes the functionality of FTp and Lan, but the process seems lengthy and you can only connect 2 xboxes thsi way . .
