Allen & heath compatible Headphones...

Anyone have the list of recommended headphones for A&H mixers? Looking to replace my MDRv700's real soon, wanna make sure I get something that will go well with the new Xone...
Cheers,

Rob

Yep I just replaced my sony's with these, love em -- only complaint so far is the short headphone chord.. I need to find a solution for this.

Your post inspired this thread

I'm for sure looking for the complete list though, I guess I haven't reallyl decided on a model, except that I won't be getting the Senn's, I know people LOVE them, but the only time I used them I was not a fan... Who knows, maybe I'll try em out again... For now, the phones I'm most seriously considering are the Pioneer HDJ 1000's...

When I realized that MDR-V700s sucked with my Xone:92, I bought some Ultrasone DJ-1 Pros. I love them. However, I recently tried out a pair of DJ-1s, and I actually like them better, comfort and fit-wise. And they're significantly less expensive, about $170 I think.

Are they really that bad? I have a Xone 92 on it's way and I have MDR-V700's that I bought not long ago

Not terrible, but at least for me, my low ends come out sounding extra tinny...

Hmm, I have a pair of stantons on their way back from RMA (after they cracked). At least I'll have a comparison pair!

Exactly.

Rob, by low ends...you mean bass?

The MDR-7506 have a flat freq response so that makes them very 'light' (not bassy). But they are clear as fuck even cranked loud...and they are nice and light and comfy
