Infinityloop - The woods [full track/prog trance]
A more progressive sounding minimal track that I still needs work- mainly with eq'ing/mastering- but i dont know how exactly.
Please let me know what you think and what problems you think it has...
**edit: UPDATED w/ better kick , less from the congas, and another pad melody in the lader break. hope you guys like it.

wow mate you found a perfect name for this tune. dark and epic , and it couldnt be any more progresive. Love the main melody and the faboulus perc work, The build up is great, creapy and solid. when i hear this i think of Blairwich project wich is a good thing when you named it the woods. very nice keep up the great work.
agree with my landsman mavve here, the name suits this song perfect
being a big fan of progressive myself I love this
All I have to say really is that I find the "percs" rather loud, but maybe its intended?
the high-key piano sound or what it is is AMAZING, couldnt be more fitting, or maybe its not a piano sound but I hope you understand what I mean
very talented
my swedish brotherins
thank you for your encouraging words.
I will see about turning those percs down a bit, I think its mainly the bongo/congas that have to be notched down.
thanks.
Hello,
Is my idea or the kick is a lil panned to the left side? I dont know if you did it at porpuse but I would center it
.
Pretty minimalyst, I will avoid any mastering comment because I saw you posted in soundclick is unmastered.
Bells, nice touch, in overall, is a bit monotone for me, but I think that was what you was going for, so that's just my personal taste.
Decent track
.
Kopi =o.
hey thanks for feedback... but please do post mastering issues u think it might have as im having difficulty desciding what to do...
hey iLoop,
good track man! Right from the start you set a cool dark vibe.
When the percs first come in with that mean crunch ..
fantastic!
You've created some awesome sounds with really tasty audible texture.
I love that one sound that winds down, sounds almost like a car screeching to a stop in slow-motion.
The piano/bell lead is good stuff - the sound itself is very well suited to the mood of the track, and the melody tells a story.. very creative - but I really hope you consider adding a bit of variation to that melody... it does get a little repetitive. And perhaps another layer of pads during the breakdown?
I really enjoyed this song.. it's unique and groovy.
I hope to hear more from you in this style in the future!

The kick isn't mono, and that is kinda irritating when listening with headphones...
It's pumping way more on my left ear!!! It's nice atmospheres in this track. Really creepy and shit. And the prog feel to it is good. But as you say, you need to work on the EQing. Not the mastering, because that's something else. What you need to focus on, is to get ea ch and single sound to be as clear and top notch as possible. Because I can hear that some of them sounds a bit muted, and some has too much low-frequenzies and therefore clashing with each other. So basically, if you clean up your sounds, individually (therefore it's not mastering) you'll end up having a much better result.
Have a nice weekend!

Just downloaded the track - listening ... The builup is pretty long.
Like the bass build during the break.
Think i should stop downloading progressive tracks since i can't give a correct review on them - it's just not my genre. sorry.
Still found some nice elements though.
kickass stuff!

Intro is cool, lots of ambience. Swirly noises are well done. That snare feels really retro for some reason. Its cool, but a wee bit more dynamics in it might help give the track more body.
Bassline is great and give the track a real driving groove. Top marks there.
Synths around the 6 min mark are very cool indeed. I feel they need more prescence though and are just a tad thin at the moment. It would be great to have them drive the track just that bit harder.
This is quite different to your previous tunes and one of your best so far. Infact what i was saying about theme in your other thread... this is exactly it. This track has god craploads of it. Its simple, cohesive and does a few things really well. Good work!

cheers, catalin.
Hey iloop,
Good intro, weird sample @ 0:41. Totally diggin' it. Maybe the short breakbeat part should needs some ride/hats, if you know what I mean. Good synths lateron, although the maracas seem to be a bit loud after a while.
Awesomest beat I heard in a while, here.

thanks killa, its a kinda minimal track so thats why the basslines pretty stable, but i'll look into some more fx processing for tracks.
