Hello! The Digital Pimp - Clairvoyance :::: new to this forum, be gentle

Well, I don't usually post in here, I've always kept my mixes to the people of Western Canada forums, but I'm pretty proud of this mix, and I feel it's the best one I've done to date. So I wanted to share with everyone.

It's the first time I managed to fit 12 tracks in less than 1 hour, but I experimented with some different mixing techniques, and found them to turn out pretty darn good. Got some of my favorite tunes in this one so it should be enjoyable.

I'd love your feedback from other DJ's. And those listening too,

Enjoy

so do you have any gigs in van?

Posted by THE_Chris on Nov-13-2005 12:46:

I might get this for the classics at the end

No gigs in Van... Fuck, there's no trance in Van, LOL.

I used to throw parties in Whistler the last couple years, they were my only steady gigs. But I'm moving to Ontario next month for about a month, then I'm off to Australia for a couple years, try and get myself involved down there.

Oh yeah, in Vancouver, I've discovered that the promoters are HIGHLY HIGHLY picky about who represents them, or.. you need to know somebody and talent isn't much of an issue. It's unfortunate, because I've heard a few measily DJ's come through here with very little talent, and I wonder why they get these gigs

Posted by fr3sh on Nov-14-2005 04:56:

yeah im just getting to the point where i am starting to feel that i would feel confident playing out... trance or prog house

but yeah i hear the scene is pretty big on the east coast

and also to the south in Cali

i have high hopes for the vancouver edm scene

Posted by Mortyman on Nov-14-2005 21:07:

how long have you been mixing for? I'd be more than happy to get together for a mix session if I wasn't leaving here.

Keeps those hopes alive for the scene here. But after the last 4 years, I've noticed that there's just NO VIBE here. Albeit though, the lifestyle of Vancouver is what attracts people here, not the parties. Why do you think Toronto has such a good vibe over there? It's not really that great of a lifestyle, so nothing much else to do but party

Posted by fr3sh on Nov-15-2005 02:19:

haha yeah no kidding

ive been mixing since january/feb so about 11ish months
just had a set of mine aired on angelo's intro to trance radio show last week... that was pretty exciting... even got some feedback

i have pretty much been obsessed with djing since i started... i've got a couple hundred records and a TON of digital tracks so its coming along

just built a custom dj console etc etc

right now i am just trying to expand my music collection

anyway... thats cool that you are moving to the east, hopefully the scene treats you well 'dj-wise' over there... keep me posted on how that goes

thanks for the feedback.

Funny, I've heard from a number of people now that the mix into Born Slippy was at the perfect time in the mix
