Lee Burridge's EVERYBODY Disc.......

F00king ROCKS!!!!

This 2 disc comp. can be picked up at HMV for under $20, and is DEFINATELY worth it. Sander's disc is quality as well, but i found myself wanting to skip a few tracks while listening. I had Lee's disc bumping on my way home from work lastnight, and finished it off on the way to work today - and i cant remember the last time i had my head bob going like mad. This is the best 'Electro House' mix i think i have ever heard.

Disc 1 - Lee Burridge

1 Ada - Livedriver (Sascha Funke Remix)
2 Tresca - Easy Ride
3 Riton vs Howdi - Closer
4 Dinky - Acid In My Fridge
5 Must - Extra stop (K. Lindblad and H. Schwarz)
6 Dum Dum - One Earth Beat (Gardner & Star Rave Lizzard rmx)
7 Soul Mekanik - Wanna Get Wet (Buick Project Remix)
8 DB vs Tim Paris - Future Now (Tim Paris Remix)
9 Dirk Technic - I Love You (Original)
10 Yoshimoto - Du What U Du (Trentemller Remix)
11 Francisco Feat. Adam Bourke - Esplanade '97
12 Afrilounge - The Dude
13 Michicoan - 2 Bullets

Disc 2 - Sander Kleinenberg

1 Pony - Our House (Papa Mix)
2 Mylo feat. Freeform Five - Muscle car (Dj T Remix)
3 Chris Lake - Until She Rises
4 Lower Eastside - Swordfight (Trent Cantrelle Remix)
5 Jon Gurd - Lemon Sherbert
6 Bodyrox - Yeah yeah (Burning Bridges Dub)
7 Groovefire - Earthquake (Dan Sanders Remix)
8 West London Deep - Dark Matter
9 Armin van Buuren feat. DJ Remy - Bounce Back
10 MV - Mr. Roboto
11 2 Bit Pie - Nobody Never (Hamel & Jamieson's Aud Magn Rmx)
12 Serge Santiago - Atto d'Amore (Dub)
13 Robert Babicz - Look (Dub )
14 S.Kleinenberg & L.Burridge - Everybody 7

Gotta agree with ya Jeff,DEFINITELY worth the price
Both CD's are REALLY good imo, but Burridge's is a bit better.

Must have imho

I'm so kicking myself for missing his set at Guv 9 year. I heard he was dropping all kinds of electro, even the new Len Faki release, which is straight up bangin club techno.

Meanwhile I was trying to stay awake in the guv, listening to Richie's PROGN.

Too many tracks we've been hearing for months..... that was my beef with it - plus he tries to fit too many different sounds, totally takes away from the flow of the mix.

the nastydirtysexmusic (tim sheridan + smokin joe) cd from ministry of sound isnt too bad either if u are into the sound on lee's disc! as is the m.a.n.d.y. (on more of a minimal tip) body language cd!

good shit!

i've only heard bits and pieces of it, but i liked what i heard save for one track with an annoying male vocal. and of course, my beloved "acid in my fridge" is on there, which makes me smile with glee

Like I said on HA...Lee's disc is good, but his Home Club set is where it's at, trust me on this. And I don't really regret seeing him at KH this year...I wanna see this guy play to a crowd that knows their shit *cough cough hint hint*

Posted by goodnet on Nov-11-2005 23:28:

If its anything like he played in Guv 9 year should be a good listen

yeah, me neither. saw him at APT in new york this september for the danny howells afterparty and he was amazing. seeing him there was a lot more special for me than in some big room full of people who don't know who he is.

him and danny howells played that night?? I think I'd lose it there. Burridge is definately one of my favourite DJ's, along with Howells...seeing the 2 of them tear it up together would be ridiculous

But...what I really wanna see...is the return of Tyrant to Toronto

nah, i think danny was supposed to play with burridge after spirit, but he had to go back home for a christening or something like that. ha. so it was just burridge, but it was brilliant. would have been great if had been the two of them together though. sigh. and the venue was great, really small, less than 100 people there for sure.

Posted by chinamon on Nov-12-2005 06:04:

i originally got this release for sander since i loved a lot of sander's prior work... but his disc in this compilation was pretty shitty imho.
but lee's disc made up for that. totally bangin.

something that i've noticed about sander is his mix cds arent really good.. but live mixes are very good. anyone else notice this?

Strange, I always thought his compilations were better.
All CD's in the Everybody series are SOOO good, imho, the last
being the weakest. Just my opinion

i dunno. the everybody compilations put me to sleep.
but there must be enough people that enjoyed the first one for him to come out with a second...

Both CDs are ok, but (no offense) they're not -party- tunes (IMO).

Maybe it's just me, but I'm finding myself less about the architecture of the set and more about landscape/atmosphere that the tunes create.

To simplify (at least for me): party set > technical set.

Who knows - it could be a phase of my life where I'm just really looking to rock it out, or perhaps I've become less enthralled with a technically superb DJ that lacks the true -party- ability.

The double CD is a good effort but it is not something that I can picture myself shakin'-ass to at 5 am.
