XM Radio vs. Sirius for dance music?
Can someone please help me decide whic satellite radio company I should go with? My gym has XM Radio and they play BPM in the morning which I love to hear while I'm on the tread mill. I know they broadcast some of the essential mixes which is why I'm leaning towards XM but maybe someone can tell me about Sirius and their EDM stations. I'd like to get an opinion before I buy. Thanks guys.
I have XM:
The essential mixes are broadcasted on the Move which is just mixes and techy tracks
BPM plays normaly dance songs but on Thursday-Sunday they have guest DJ mixes which are great mostly house though.
The System is all trance and features TA Vic Dinaire and is the one Im always listening too.
Sirius looks alright but them having Louie Devito & Judge Jules shows is a downer. Although they are getting Radio 1 and they have the Essential Selection shows live
Xm all the way
The Move has so many talented DJ's: D:Fuse, Deepsky, Tom Stephan, Max Graham, Pete Tong
BPM is mainstream dance
The System just announced they well have A State Of Trance with Armin now, that joins Oslo Nights, Zoltar's Subterrenean and my Lost Episode Show
Sirius has some nice shows but not nearly as solid as XM's imo

i have both
i subsribe to xm primarily for the opie and anthony show, BPM channel (dance hits kind of european style)is good but way to repetative, The System channel is good alot of trance-some progressive, both good trance and shitty trance, The Move channel is primarily drum and bass but they do have vics lost episodes which is great show but lots of shows are repeats and they also have alot of deep house shows (jazz-fusion)house with the likes of Frankie knuckles
i have sirius at home because it comes with Dish Network i love trance and the channel Area 33 is by far the best dance channel in America, they also have a channel that plays laid back, ibiza type house music, real cool for 11pm tuesday nite, theres a dance hit channel that is not i as good as XM but they also offer BBC radio1 on channel 11 which plays the Pete tong essential mixes. they have 2 other dance channels as well
My opinion Sirius has the better selection for the EDM fan and they also have on air Dj,s with personality and knowledge (kind of like KTU dj,s playing good EDM) the only thing that sucks about Sirius is Howard i prefer O&A so ill stick with XM
sirius gonna have howard
nuff said
I like both XM and Sirrus Satellite radio
XM - Has a much solid selection EDM than Sirrus. I haven't hgae much listen to Sirrus because everytime I tune I a never hear anything good but this because I work during the day. Once I start my overnites at work I will be tuned in.
Sirrus - They have more channels of EDM but again only 1 dance channel had decent music. I hear XM could be wiped out not only because "The King of Media" Howard Sternnnnnnnnnnn is comin
but I hear Oprah Winfrey might be getting signed and I know that this doesn't mean much but I think it sucks.
You would with XM Radio for dance music.
Sirus, Grooveradio International, Darude present Finland, George Acosta Lost World, Gabriel and Dresden show. But, they have BBC Radio 1 live stream from UK. So you can hear Essential/mix/selection, Dance Anthems with Dave Pierce. The Residents with various sets. The only reason why anyone should get XM radio is because of Victor Dinaire's Lost world show. The rest are just so so.....
Howard Stern Sucks....Opie & Anthony own him...XM though I have major problems with mostly with BPM being a cheese show when not having their mix DJs like Chris Cox there. Alan Freed must be 90 years old and he is the PD and has a very bad choice of tunes.
Opie & Anthony are howard stern clones lol
your a fuckin dumbass

O&A are fuckin tools
Howard is lame as shit these days though
basically I wouldn't listen to either
Thank you Vic thats why I listen to your show religously
From what I've heard, XM prob. has the better overall dance music selection, but Sirius has some great stuff with Radio 1 plus a good channel of chill music if you're into that. Asides from the obvious Howard, they also have all the pro sports leagues except for MLB.

Thank you Sirius can get fcuk itself
Thanks for all the input. Looks like I'm gonna go with XM.
There's a special promotion that XM is doing with The Apprentice (as featured on last night's episode)
Looks like discounts on equipment, with free shipping and activation

Has anyone listened to baseball games on XM? How are those broadcasts?
I haven't tried it yet, but it seems that as a bonus for baseball fans, you could tune into any MLB game that's playing, no matter where you happen to be (in the US)
Cool. Thanks partyhopper! Now, which one to get?
