big festivals

hey i still havent been to a big event (ive been to ibiza but its not the same)
i wanted to know what big festivals there are with participation by artists like armin, ferry, markus schulz and you know big shots but with speciel quality (and long) sets.
some of the names i know is inercity (which i heard should be lame this year, trance energy, dance valley, ocean diva?
anyway if you can spare some of your time and tell me: when, where, how long, personal expirience... in short everything i'd like it

First of all, the Ocean Diva is a boat... not a big event.
Secondly... festivals are changing quit often, having different line ups every year... so it's difficult to say what would be nice for you.
Also i think it's hard to tell someone what would be nice to go to as everyone likes other things... i think it's really something you should find out yourself but il try to help a bit

I can only talk for myself but in my eyes the bigger festivals aren't so nice as going to a small club.
Ofcourse this depends to what you are used to and what you're experiences are or your expectations.
I know some people who are in the "scene" for like 10 years and they don't like visiting festivals mainly... others who maybe never went to any party/club before probably will really like it to go to a party like Trance Energy.
What you want to hear?
The well known songs which were in the top 10 of the charts?
Or the more progressive stuff?
You care about what kind a public is around you on a party?
You care about stuff like quality of the lights...?
etc
you're saying you like Armin and Markus... so maybe you should visit one of the Armada party's... for example in the Ocean Diva idd...

first, i have been to lots of parties but this days i dont go to just regular parties (especially in israel where trance crowd sucks)
but you know if i will travel abroad for parting i think ill go to a big festival ive been a couple of times to armin concerts and to ferrys and it was great if someone could tell me that theres a festival with an 8 hour set of armin and the day after another one by ferry (or any other dj's i like) that would be my favorite
plus about what you said about big festivals i cant say not being in one but i think the athmosphere sould be awesome but then again maybe not

what the heel is mysteryland? the photos look mazing but i don't really understand how it works or what goes on

well both mysteryland and dance valley (my sig is a photo of the dance valley mainstage) are the same principle. Both have a great location, there are +- 15 musical areas with every electronic music type you can imagine. These festivals are starting at 10 o'clock in the morning till 11 in the evening. Although you might think the atmosphere is less during the day the opposite is true. Everybody goes crazy.
