Rasta Graffiti Q's

Whasup CORe....just have a question for the people on here that are really into or have general knowledge of graffiti.

I'm interested in getting a sketchbook together as I can draw pretty well, but when i see sketchbooks online and such, the colors look so vibrant. I was just wondering what types of writing materials are mainly used for sketchbooks/sketches that'll give those solid colors. It almost seems as if there is no traces where a usual marker or pencil is used. What materials do most graf writers use??

Any links, supply examples, or pictures of sketches are greatly appreciated.

This is my thread now bitches!

I used to write back when i lived in peru, i was really down with the scene, i would get up at least once a week, had a whole bunch of different tags, was good shit. But im tellin you, dont do it. dont get into graffiti man, its a waste of time painting illegal shit.

But the rush is great.

As for markers...

Prisma Markers for shadin and whatnot
Deco paint markers for the fat fill

When it all comes down to it, prismas and decos are the best blackbook markers.

Yeah, i'm just trying to get a nice Blackbook going .....not really interested in the actual spraying. But i'm just trying to research the best markers for the book.

Prismacolors and Deco Paint Markers.

Go to an art store and steal a bunch cuz they are all lke 3-6$ a piece.

Use some kind of paint based marker. They'll have em at most art supply shops and some news agents. Also buy a proper sketchbook with pretty thick paper so it doesn't bleed. If you ever decide to put up a nice piece that you've sketched out, there are plenty of warehouses and other industrial type buildings, or even shops who have walls facing railways etc that will allow you to paint their walls legally. You just have to look... and ofcourse make sure you don't go over anyone elses work if you want yours to last and if you don't want to get bashed.

Prismacolors are the best bet.

You can usually easily rack that stuff and if you don't wanna do that check ebay.

Back in the day I racked a bunch of Posca markers etc but all that water based stuff I hated.

Couple months ago I bought a box of 48 prismacolors on ebay for about 40 bucks ( versus the usual 70 80 $ ) and I love em to bits unfortunately I haven't used them that much.
