Weird experience involving 105.3 FM

Hey guys,

I was just driving from Tampa to Gainesville, it was about 9:45 am and I was listening to some tunes on my mp3 player, last of which was TDR - Squelch (SvD remix). then I turn on the radio, tuned to 105.3 FM (randomly, I don't know any stations here) expecting shitty R&B, but on the radio, TDR - Squelch (SvD rmx) is playing! Now before you ask, no, it wasn't my mp3player, it was really the radio

Anyway after that, more SvD tunes and remixes follow, mixed together, all very recent tunes. So as soon as I'm home, I look for that station on Google and end up on a site that says it's a local Gainesville station (www.kiss1053.com) but the calendar there says: currently playing 'Black Eyed Peas - Don't lie' and similar tracks before and after that.

What the heck???

every sunday from 8-12 105.3 goes edm....a show called the perimiter it has been goign since b4 i went to school there 00-05...they usually have breakz dj and dnb with ocassional trance and prog...but it ia always on sunday nights, very funny u post this now cause i am actually listening to it via www.kiss1053.com listening to some hard ass techno...it is quite werid that after all these years a mainstream radio station still gives up ita airwaves for 4 hours on a asunday for edm, but its awesome

What's up TIT. It's the same way here in Orlando. There's this one rock station that I accidently tune into today and boom!....they are playing some EDM, although the track selection is not as good as what you said. I was shocked because no radio station here plays that type of music. So you're not alone.

By the way, hows that student exchange program coming along, you enjoying here in the states?

Hey what do ya know, a fellow TA! Hello, I think if my memory serves me correctly it is 105.9. They play EDM on Sunday nights.
