Exclamation System F vs Armin van Buuren - Trance Match

Ok so I've kind of already raved about this cd in the music discussion forum, but I can really hype it up in here

Well first off, what I've noticed over time about this cd that makes it different from other cd's is that all of the music seems to seemlessly flow together. They're not just remixed and put in their place on the cd, but they actually sound like they belong together. I can't really describe it very well but if you take a listen to the cd, you'll know what I'm talking about.

Ok 2nd, the songs on this cd are beautiful. They can either be songs to dance to or songs to relax to. The song Shamu (10th song) has this part a few minutes into it that has all of these melodic synths and it just sounds incredible! I think out of the 15 songs on this cd, there's only 1 that I didn't particularly like. (ET Welcome Song '99, 7th song) But the rest of the songs more than make up for that 1 song. I have NEVER been able to say that about a cd, that I like nearly EVERY song on it.

I hate to think of how many trance lovers don't know that this cd exists. It REALLY needs to become well-known and put in everyone's trance cd collection. I'd have to give this cd a perfect 10 out of 10. I promise that as long as you like trance, you will not be dissapointed with this cd.

Ok, the cd IS just a bit pricy. It's going to cost you over 40 dollars including shipping it from Japan. But I say it's well worth the price and money should be no object when buying this cd anyways. Hehe do whatever it takes to make sure that you own it. Here are some links: Amazon's price and CDNOW's price

Well I guess I'm finally done. Hope everyone that gets the cd enjoys it as much as I have.

thats wierd because i just came to this forum to post about this cd. fortunately for me i live in Japan so it is easy for me to buy but it still costs like 2548 yen w/o shipping and handling. but i havnt heard it yet im definitely gonna go buy it now that ive heard what you had to say about it. ive been eyeing it recently, wandering if i should get it, of course i shouldve known, w/ Burren and Ferry you couldnt go wrong. Trance Match is pretty popular out here, but there is so much more better cd availability at the stores in the states.

Well I'm glad that I was able to help you decide Justin. Trust me the cd is awesome, in my opinion of course, but I can tell you that I love it and is my favorite trance cd ever.

This CD is good but I think ICU Generation Trance 0.1 is better.

why is it better? really tell me why

OK, have you heard ICU Gen. Trance 0.1 (by Kimball Collins)?
That CD is a masterpiece beyond ALL others.
First of all, the tracks in the mix are grouped by style, first you have the Dutch-cascade style, then the riff style, then the Vocal style.
And all the tracks simply blow you away. The way the CD starts off (Jon the Dentist's "Imagination") is amazing, the track itself is gold, too. Then you have the sensational "Where are You Now" (Ferry). Third, the main masterpiece of this CD and of the trance genre in general - Armin's Communication; NOTHING compares to that gem. The mixing is flawless and so natural. The mix continues with the superb "Take You There" and "Coming on Strong", where the sizzling synths take you to another world. And then we come to another amazing part of the CD - the vocal style - Sunscreem's "Exodus" and Quadran's "Unlovable" are the BEST, most SUPERB songs in this category. These tracks will give you goosebumps... The remaining 4 songs are also excellent.

I can only say this: If you haven't heard it, you're missing out. Compared to "Trancematch", its track selection is of slightly better quality, and the mixing is much better, because it's flawless, very diverse, and professional. Don't forget, Armin is an okay DJ but he's mainly a producer. Kimball Collins is a professional DJ who knows how to pick tracks and where to put them.

P.S. Words don't do justice to this CD, you really have to hear it to understand why it's the best. I heard it in January, and this was my first Trance CD. Since then, NOTHING has topped it for me.

well if its half as good as you make it out to be ill make sure to look for it. but like i said the selection is shabby here in Okinawa and i doubt ill be able to find it. wish i had a credit card so i could order it or a cd burner but unfortunately im stuck looking for cds via Sam Goody and a few other places. its so hard to find a decent trance cd these days because there is too many ie. Gatecrasher, Global Underground, Tunnel Trance, Nubreed, Tranz World, and so many other that ive never even heard of. But Trance Match is one of the more popular ones out here in Japan and its like the only one that has Norwegian djs on it. I need to get some Kimball Collins in my collection though, ill look for it too.

Yeah, good luck, and I definitely recommend ICU Gen. Trance 2000 0.1 [by Kimball Collins]. Note the other ones (0.2 and 0.3) aren't that good, only the first release.

Try to find it on AudioGalaxy or WinMX, I'm sure you'll be able to!

A word of advice: Tunnel Trance Force (TTF) is excellent, but the others you mentioned - Nubreed, Global Underground, Gatecrasher (the recent ones) - suck dick... at least IMHO. They're way too progressive and they bore me to death. YUCK !!!

yeah thats my point exactly, theres way too much shit out there and to be able to distinguish one from the next without listening too them first is impossible. i have never seen a TTF album in the stores here but the ones i got burned are dope. i stick more to producer albums anyhow.
when will kids learn to love progressive house?

It depends on the region I believe, Here in Mexico Progressive House mainly but also most of the house styles rule here (Psy Trance rulez in Mexico City), Monterrey loves progressive house, and Guadalajara loves House by itself (i used Mexico's most important cities).
Trance is excelent I love it (still) but most of the trance DJ's here only spin at snobbish clubs.
I love Progressive house nowadays (I actually spin it) and I hope more people feel it as they feel trance.
My 2 cents!

greeetz!

do you like Danny Tenaglia? if you do than what should be the first Danny T album i should have in my collection? I already have a host of other progressive DJs but unbelievably enough no Tenaglia, and i was just wandering which one is the best to get first.
I like some of the more tribal the best though, i heard tenaglia is good at mixing it up alot, and thats what i love in a good dj, progressive or what not.
