Lol, when a thread starts up, asking the EXACT SAME QUESTION as the one at the top of the producers forum, people get pissed. I dont really give a shit but wow dude :P. 1) SEARCH, 2) definitely atleast look at whats on the first page of the forum, 3)read the stickies.

Whats with you guys? comon......Of course when you start it sounds like cheeze.........or crap..........just keep writing and producing, youll se it will sound better and better with time. Keep it simple, try making cool beats and bass, then add a simple, yet cool lead and elaborate from there. Oh no one said it but.....check the sticky!!!!

no, im giving him the offbeat bass treatment, so he wont clash the bass and kick that fast.. and that subbass plugin wont help if u dont know what ur doing.. -

I have no clue what subbass plugin you're talking about, and the offbeat bass is lame as hell. I'm sorry but you just CAN'T dance to music like that - when the kick and bassline *never* meet, the track has NO drive whatsoever.

It's really not that hard to EQ your kick and bassline apart and compress them again together.

hmm.. the most common bassline used in dance music *is* the offbeat bassline.. and far as i recall alot of people have dance to it during the time..

its hard enough when u havent done it before..

Which is exactly why it sucks. Do something original for a change. Incidentally, the most common dance I see to that offbeat bassline is the nauseating "hands in the air" or "head swaying from side to side" dance.

Anyway, I'm not gonna argue... you make basslines however you like, and I'll make them how I want!

I have a bit of knowledge about the making of the layout of trance music. its the EQ your kick and bassline apart and compress them again together. all the other threads help is about fruity loops or reason. i use cubase so im trying to get some good advice for this if this is any. SUBBASE is a vst fx plugin
