Why rnb clubs suck

many drinky shenanigans later, I found myself at an rnb club, and heres why it sucks:
crap music
dj who doesn't mix, beatmatch, and thinks he's working the crowd but could put on any old shit and get the same response
mcs who think just cos they have a microphone means they are allowed to sing along with the tunes
chicks wearing hotpants who really shouldn't wear hotpants
ghetto chicks
retarded dancing styles
wannabe gangstas
lack of music flow: rnb -> Gorillaz - Feel Good Inc (woot, best song/only good song of the night) -> rnb
Way too much Michael Jackson for anyones good
Simultaneously feeling young and old (seriously, everyone was <20 or >25, no one in between)

And its not until you leave you realise the sideroom is playing house

I've learnt my lesson

agreed i used to go to rnb clubs when i was younger but have not set foot in one for almost two years and i dont intend on going back unless of course it is going back to the metro for a non-rnb related event. although saying that means nothing because i have no control over what happens when i go out drinking. i have been to alot of dives and very strange places under the influence of extreme intoxication. the worst had to be retro, a place in the city that plays retro music. everyone singing "I'm walking on sunshine, Wow Oh and Dont It Feel Good" and doing a stupid little wiggle dance is not a pretty picture.

which rnb club did you go to?

St Pauls here in Adelaide. craptacular.
It was the only thing open that late on a wednesday night though, and as I said, it was due to extreme intoxication.

There was about 2 hot chicks and it was a sausage fest.

Hey don't diss st pauls the venue... its an old church and its probably up there with one of the best places I've raved in!

Heavens closed down at the moment, heh the mecca of rnb in adelaide due to losing its liqour license, so they are running out of st pauls on saturday nights im pretty sure.

Nah, I'm not ragging on the venue, it was craptacular the fact it was rnb.

st.pauls is the best rave venue in adelaide. fucking rocks! as for having r&b there makes me sick. i dont mind partying to r&b but that is not the place for it.

hey i like some retro music, i am always up for some good old school rock. but this place retro is a hole, i would rather spend a night in a wombats burrow than at that place. it was nasty, they played a couple of okay songs but the rest were a disgrace. i think i may be so jaded about it because we actually left a reasonable venue to go to retro but even still i will not go back there under pain of death.
