there is something wrong with the red plug that goes into the back of my mixer from one of my 1210 mk5's.when i have the white and red ones plugged in, it will only play through the left speaker on my stereo.i done a few tests and found out that it definitely is the red one.and my question is, will i have to send it away to get it fixed or can i fix it myself?what will i have to do, if im to fix it myself?my brother is an electrician so he will know a bit about it,but im just too afraid to let him near it.

sounds to me the problem u have is basicly a knackered cable, could have been a dry solder joint when it was made, are the plugs moulded on or screw on?

if they are moulded on, chuck them in the bin and get a new set of cables, if they are the screw together type, unscrew them, check the wire inside, making sure its not come away from the terminal, if it has, just solder it back on, if u cant solder or know anyone that can, chuck them in the bin and get a new set
