emotional sweeping sounds are used in nearly all trance tunes, it's what gives it emotion, but how do u actually make one? I probably couldn't make one even if I wanted to as All i've got is 2-3 really shitty soft synths, most that come with the demo version of Fruityloops! So I was wondering If anyone has or knows where I can download a sample. I am looking for both the quick whoosy sounding synth and also a flat sounding sweep preferably a long sample...

Try out the "sweeps" on www.analoguesamples.com
:-) One good trick would be to use one of those samples and then run it through some of Waves' Direct X plugins on Sound Forge. I did a lot of that when I made Killer Tweaks 2 (the free samples you can DL on Fruityloop's web page).
