[OT] - Vail Vacation Commerical (pvd inspired)
so like sat morning, what does a single bachelor guy in nyc do on a saturday morning?
he wakes up, eats breakfast, turns on espn and gets ready for a day of football, beer, and weed right...
coffee in hand lounging on my sofa inbetween the holy bible sportscenter, i see this commerical...
a commerical of people skiing the slopes and a nice small branding in the corner of the tv saying VAIL VACATIONS and all you see is powder being kicked up....
WOW then it hits me...
they are playing PVD - Nothing But You in the background
Now there isn't any commentary so all you hear is music and the visual aspect you just see people cutting through untouched snow.
So my question is, edm + snow sports + commericalized = formulate your opinion, you tell me if this means the edm culture is going main stream or is it being recognized by those other "trying to be mainstream" things.
Snowboarding/Skiing still isn't a mainstream sport, it's nice to see similar things using each other.
just reading that makes me want to book a trip let alone seeing the actual commercial on tv

i was playing SSX tricky (snowboarding game) on gamecube last night and i heard Hybrid - Unfinished Symphony in the background.. pretty darn cool!
I saw the commercial last night too! It didn't throw me off the chair or anything, but I was fairly shocked to hear PVD on a TV commercial. It did suit the theme of the commercial perfectly- soft uplifting beats to a fun down slope ski.

I remember when trance was no where in the US but now from oakey on ktu every saturday to Armin doing a video remix song of 24 to Tiesto at the Olympics Trance has come a long way
but, note that the songs that are with these commercials have a certain commercialized factor to them. they're catchy as well.
although it would be leet to hear a menno tune on tv :P
