whats the deal with selling livesets online, not that i ever do it. Just wondering because I always report people to ebay who sell MP3 cd's when i'm bored at work (sad i know, but i don't like it, dont call yourself a fan of this scene if you refuse to support it), should I also do it with peeps selling livesets

yeah thats stupid that people do that. i reported him incase you didnt
he isn't idiot... idiots are ppl who buy it
why recorded livesets are illegal to share? or it's only illegal to sell them?
when it's not illegal?
somebody could explain pls?
Put basically, its not strictly illegal (read: it technically is a grey area, but as long as the DJ supports it, its ok) to share them, but it is illegal to SELL them.

there is nothing wrong with selling livesets. believe it or not, some people still don't have fast internet connecitons and it's impossible for them to stay abreast of the club music scene hapenings. they are not stupid, they are willing to pay money rather than spend 1-2 weeks downloading those sets night and day.
it is not illegal to share livesets, so why would it be illegal to share the livesets but to also charge money for burning the cd?
and those who report this kind of stuff are just sad sad people.
selling illegal mp3s is a whole different story.

Sorry, @Jocker, when I disagree, Livesets are "non-commercial" but not free of any copyright. Here in Germany it is necessary to ask the copyright holder (the DJ or the FM station) if you want to share or to sell live-sets.
Simply said, downloading or selling live-sets without having a permission to do so is probably illegal.
thats a shitload of sets
There's a lot of copyrighted material
IS HE ASKING $129 PER SET?
WTF?

TBH I wouldnt be **that** worried with the selling of livesets. I was on 56k for nine years and would probobly have paid for livesets if I didnt know about the trading side of things.
But this guy has got a ton of blatently mp3ed CDs in that collection, which hes copying for profit. THATS illegal.
