Elixir - Last Light (Arctic Breeze Remix) sample (updated)

It's been a while since I posted something new here now, so I thought I'd drop you a sample of some of the stuff I'm currently working on. It's a remix of Elixir - Last Light. It should be some dark stuff, kinda like mine and CoDe-X's remix of Voyage. I'm quite satisfied with it so far but would appreciate some feedback on it!

Cheers!

nice bass.. like the transitions, nice melody introduced.. love the panned crashes, i like how it builds.. would really expect some energy after the break.. i could picture an additional lead there or some strings or something.. would be really nice..

nice work so far :=)

I do not know the original so I am just gonna review how your track sounds and I can be short about that: AMAZING First 50 seconds sounded flat but when you really start building the track up it has all the ingredients I love to hear : good atmosphere, great percussions, loads of energy and great progression, you keep on building the track. Only thing which I am not yet sure of is the leadsynth you use, I need to hear it after the break with everything going to hear how good it is.

Looking forward to the whole deal Superb work so far!

Cheers,

Nomen Nescio

And thanks for your comments. I'll have to work more with the intro, it's not polished yet

The bassline of this work of yours is really nice, warm and somehow fat.

It builds up quite nicely, I like it.

Keep working on it.

I don't like the intro.
The bassline is cool.
The clap is too empty.
The riff is nice and the melody is ok.
Not something outstanding.

5/10

I have updated the first post with a new sample. Fixed the intro (which was horrible in the first version, but I didn't bother to do anything about it at that point) and removed some low freq's from one of the leads so it did not interfere with the bass. Added some more elements to.

Sounding even better mate - Keep at it!

Yes, I have completed the remix, but it's sent out to a label with the other two versions. I don't know the status yet tho. John Wright takes care of it and I haven't talked with him for some days now because he's been busy.
I'll share my full version if it's not getting released

Very goaish bass.

The rimknock you've got sounds like a preset. I don't like it too much. I guess you've already sent it out though, so not like anything I say will change it. :/

Good stuff. Congrats on the signage.

Sounds very much like Vanguard...
Preset: Hale Bopp

Really great sounds but it takes way too long to build up. Other than that, the only thing is the kick. Its not bad, just not there enough.

Thanks guys! Full release info Here!

Everything in this tune is from the basic samples in FL Studio, except the kick, which I got from Safranyos. Vanguard is the only plugin I have used. And I agree that the kick should have had a little more power, but it's too late now. I'm happy with the way it sound tho.

Btw... The sample found in the first post here is from the beginning of the production.
Check out the sample found on the realease into thread linked by John Wright in the previous post.
