Virus TI au tempo trouble... plz help!

Hey guys, I got the new access TI polar and it is indeed an incredible machine! Right now i have it plugged in usb and am using it in Logic 7 as a soft synth (AU) it works just like any other vst / au plugin but it is hardware! incredible. However what I need help on is the tempo. When i load up a patch with appregiator on the virus TI, i cannot seem to get the tempo right.. I have my Logic tempo at 139. When i load up my other synths, the tempo matches up perfectly. For example, if i load up a patch that has appregiator in reFX Vanguard... it is automatically tempo'd at 139. For the virus, i change the tempo on the hardware unit to 139 and it is still off... then i change the tempo on the "softsynth" screen in logic to 139 and it is still not beatmatched correctly . Can someone please help?

thx

Well i did much research and found out indeed there is a big "arp bug"
I apologize for not explaining my problem more clearly but i am fairly new to hardware synths and sometimes I am lost for words trying to explain the real problem.

quote "Hey guys,

My problem is that a single channel (solo or with the track) with an arp is out of sync in playing a simple loop in my sequencer.

I can't find in all my settings where is the solution. I tried a lot of diff combinations and I feel that it's allways slightly out of sync. Usually when the loop start it's not exactly in sync, then after 1 or 2 bars it's all good but just for maybe 8 or 10 bars...then it's again slightly out of sync....then become good again, then.....it should be perfect!!!

I thought that it can be a Logic problem first, or maybe just something to change in the settings Logic or Virus, or updates, or......I don't know~~~

If someone use it perfectly with a similar set-up (Logic 7.1.1, Osx Tiger 10.4.3, Mac G5, M-Audio Firewire 410)....let me know your MIDI preferences...

Thank's....

Thierry

here is the solution (I have yet to try it but hopefully it will work)

I e-mailed my poblem to access support and they answer me this...
My arp is working perfectly now

***Thank you for your mail. First off please make sure you're using an audio buffer
size between 128
and 512 in Logic's audio settings. Also set the processing buffer size to
"small" in the same settings
window.
Is it then still off? If so, is it still off even if you start the Logic
playback 1 bar ahead of the notes
triggering the arpeggiator?***

Thierry

s a hobbiest, this is frustrating, but if you rely on your gear for a living, that is horrifying.

I have found the Unofficial Access Virus TI forum to be useful.
