I posted a suggestion about such a thing in the music discussion a while ago (Link), and it didn't do very well. People thought that there were already too many rules for using the site. Maybe general opinion have changed, I don't know..

you gotta use these tags: [ i m g ] and [ / i m g ] (but without the spaces)

actually, your tagging IS working....

its just that geocities doesn't allow remote image hosting...
please see the "sticky" thread at the top of the chillout room to find a web provider that allows remote image hosting.

finding a free host that allows remote-linking can be tricky, or at least it was for me heheh
