Rane Empath Rotary..

Rane just came out with a new rotary mixer thats alot cheaper then the all mighty xp2016 w/ EQ. I was wondering if any1 played on one or think its worth getting because its alot cheaper then the xone 92 rotary and seems to be built nicely.

opinions?

It's been out for some time now

Anything rane is top notch quality. Though I have not played with the rotary version, the Empath is a damn nice mixer.

It is new if you consider a few months new. The rotary version has been out a few months

No you've been hearing about them for a few months but they haven't been out for sale long at all. I really can't find one for sale to tell you the truth. It will probably be another month or so till they're widely available.

Depends on the setting

In a well-isolated booth, Ortofon Nightclub 2.5g / DJ 3.0g.

Outside on the patio, springy floor and people bumping into the booth, Nightclub 3.0g / DJ 3.5g

I dunno this mixer aren't meant to compete with the 92r simply because it doesn't have the wonderful analog faders and is only 3 channels as opposed to the xone which has 4 channels as well as a send and reciever / mic channels.
