I think I got a good deal? Not sure.

Today, I bought an original X-Box console with an Xecutor II mod chip, 250GB internal hard drive, a hacked version of XBMC, emulators for every system from Atari up through Nintendo 64, around 7,500 roms, and 35 X-Box titles installed. It came with all of the appropriate connections, one wireless controller, and one wired controller.

$200. I think I got a damn good deal. Anyone who knows how much a modded X-Box usually goes for care to comment?

Uhhh... I saw a new one at wal-mart for like 175 or something... so... you really got a great deal

I got orig Xbox, Xbox live & Ghost Recon II still unopened on anyof em for sale $200. So i would say its a good deal.

Commodore 64 is da shizzle. XBox is soooo 2004

Aside from the obvious point that the classic X-Box will now be cheaper than dirt...

1. There were a hell of a lot of badass games for the X-Box.

2. There are still several more promising titles coming out for the X-Box before companies are going to start drifting to the 360.

3. The 360 is an overpriced tech demo and the first batch is full of crashes and other quirky problems.

4. I wanted something that can run all of the emulators and roms that I want to play.

5. I wanted a media center. 250GB is more than enough for that.

6. You can rent/borrow and copy X-Box games on a modded system... meaning that there isn't much of an investment past the initial $200 and a few extra dollars for two more controllers.

7. I found the x-box so bad (only enjoyed 1 game out of 12) that I gave mine away to my cousins. They certainly enjoyed the surprise

Yep, however the Nintendo 64 owned, and he has an emulator now for that and can copy shit for teh zzzzzzbox, so all in all not a bad deal.

Damn skippy. The N64 and Sega emulators alone are fun as hell... not to mention being able to throw down on NES and SNES, too.

I must have played Mario Kart 64 for like an hour last night, quickly followed by several rounds of Sonic II.

good deal, but only because of the 250GB hard drive. you can mod the xbox with full XBLive support without a modchip nowadays, for no more than $10 or so.

that, and i hear the n64 emulator doesn't support a lot of the games I would've liked to play- all the zelda games, goldeneye, perfect dark, etc.

id really like to know where i could get something of comparison

He knows its a good deal...he just wants to faunt it.

i think he got ripped off but if he's happy with it that's all that matters... unless he needs our approval
