One word...Montreal!!!! NYE was great!!!

All right, my desicion to go to Montreal was made at the end of November, when the Toronto became pretty boring and nothing was supposed to happen for NYE.

Damn my desicion was right, guys MONTREAL is awesome, it is just unbelievable, damn, I felt like in Europe. Amazing city and Montreal ppl should keep it like that. One of the surprise for me was that not too many ppl speak English, that felt pretty good, French is fun. I wish I heard German, but still french is fun language to hear in Canada.

I came to Montreal @ Dec 30, 2001, and it was like I came to the other country. I came for romantic 3 days with my girlfriend only. That was right decision too, it was ROMANTIC. We stayed in the Governour Hotel in Downtown, i was lucky, my windows were on the Downtown's side so i had pretty good view from the hotel room. we visited Casino de Montreal,
lot's of restaurants and some clubs.

The best one I've visited was Metropolis, where i was celebrating 2002. I know that Sona and Aria are the best but damn, Metropolis rocked that night....lots of space, lots of air, lots of place to sit, free champagne, and music....first there was Top 25 countdown (Quite more Euro than in Toronto), then it was 57 58 59 2002!!!!!!baloons, lights, etc and later after new year I've heard old very old euro dance (2 brothers on the 4th floor, culture beat, etc) and i loved it cause i grew up with those tunes in europe, and about after 1 o'clock TRANCE rocked the place, i went crazy, it was amazing ....only smoked they never spin that kind of tunes in Toronto's regular nightclubs.

I left for Hotel at about 4 oclock, then it was beautiful romantic night in the hotel......Not for Details

Overall atmosphere was ralaxing, alchohol everywhere, no COPS, u can smoke or drink on the streets, nobody will bother ya, ppl are so good, and everyone starts talking to you about fun. All TV channels are in French, but still fun to watch it. Some channels were playing video clips 24/7, most of it or Dance or House or Trance, there is no things like RAP. If there are some R & B tunes there are pretty good and melodic. No shitty "I put a shit on you" or smth like that.

Damn, Jan 1 we had to leave, i wish i stayed forewer.....I loved that city....Montreal rocks....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Torontonian's i recomment to gothe to party at leats once a year, You will not regret about it, guaranteed.

Montreal.....ahhhh yes.! It has never let me down. I'm glad to hear that most of u had a great time.....my NYE sucked ass. Oh well, at least 2001 is over....it had to be the worst year ever for me. I'm looking forward to bigger and better things in 2k2.

Me and a few friends went down to Montreal a few years back, and I had an awesome time. I too got that feeling that we were in another country. It felt very European, and the people there were very friendly. At 4am there were tons of peeps on the streets and they would randomly start conversations with each other. The clubs there are very nice as well. Glad you had fun, and I can't wait to go again.

man montreal is the shit !!! i was there a few years ago and those french canadiens sure do know how to have a good time. The only problem is the damn cold...oh well u can't have everything.

How were the new year parties here ? I didn't get a chance to go to any clubs but i know that max graham was spinning a 5 hour set at system. Did anyone have a chance to check that out ?

Anyway hopefully 2002 will be as good as 2001 as far as clubbing goes. My wish list this year includes hopefully seeing the following dj's.

same here Vlad Montreal was amazing! 3 days of mad partying i visited most of the clubs as well, coz i had that bar-hop pass so it was nice new years day i spent downtown as well, people were friendly which wasn't new 2 me came out of the club around 1:30am and everybody was on the streets there was lots of american people, from boston, harvard and names i can't remember lol afterwards i had an AFTER HOURS HOTEL PARTY which started around 4am, and continued to 7am, wohooo wat a night that was i really didn't feel like leaving montreal on the 1st, im gonna miss it
