New 24-hr Opening Law

England just introduced a new law that allows bar, clubs and other establishments to set their own operating hours, opening the door for clubs to stay open all night/morning AND sell alcohol.

Now if only that would happen here! Would spell the end of 'afterhours'.

edit: if only that would happen here.. maybe then we would have less ppl in the clubs that want to party all night long but don't actually like the music!!! More room on the dancefloor.. Giddy Up

Only a few actually were given 24 hour liscense though, thank god.

too good to be true! I highly doubt that would ever become a reality here, or anytime soon.

Europe as a whole is more liberal than North America, though I must admit that Quebec is much more liberal than the rest of Canada and especially the US, so who knows!

The bars used to close at 11pm in England, now they won't close at all! how crazy!

t'as raison. Check Ibiza, la fete s'arrete jamais la-bas, ca continue 24 heures sur 24. Mais ca dure juste 4 mois par annee.

En Angleterre, j'suis sur qu'il va y en avoir des morts a cause de l'alcohol! imaginez les hooligans au soccer, soue pendant 24 hrs. Desastre!

pour ce qui est du qu�bec, ya juste 1 �tablissement ouvert a toute heure du jour et de la nuit.

D'un autre point de vue, ce nouveau syst�me 24h sur 24 va emp�cher les gens de boire le plus et le plus vite possible pour �tre le plus saoul possible avant que �a ferme...alors c'est sur qu'il va y avoir un ajustement a faire, c'est comme n'importe quoi, et les gens vont s'habituer et vont finir par boire avec mod�ration tout au long de la nuit...on peut voir ca d'une autre facon. Mais c'est sur que en ce moment �a doit f�ter fort!

Moi j'ai plus peur pour la sant� de ces personnes. C'est pas bon se coucher � des heures de fou ou ne pas dormir, mais je ne suis pas leur m�re.

Et �a serait intense de pouvoir aller danser en se levant =)
