1200s in Canada?

I've spoken to Long & McQuade and they have their MK5s for $895CAD each. Now that is a pretty high price but they said that they will price match with CANADIAN online stores only. I've tried to search TA and google for Canadian stores but haven't found anything. Google keeps on giving me ebay/classified links. Do any of you know of a Canadian online store with good pricing? Used each 1200 is averaging for 500USD in the Victoria/Vancouver area, but djdeals has an mk5 for 479USD. If its that cheap NEW in the US shouldn't I be able to find a similar (not exact) price in Canada?

Also what are the better US sites? I know of www.djdeals.com. From what I see there is no sticky of good online dj stores, maybe someone can enlighten me?

All what I did for my TT's was just get them from idjnow.com, get them sent to Blaine, Washinton (to a ups place) then pick it up and drive across the border. If they don't ask if you have any goods don't say anything unless you want to pay duty! Buying from the States saved me 200$

www.playderecord.com has MK2's for $629. You might wanna ask them about an MK5.

They're Toronto based.

What TTs did you get and what was the total $CAD?

Thanks bro!

So it looks like 750CAD + tax is the best deal I can get for an MK5 through Canadian sites. I could suck it up and just get one, or I can do it the US route and get one for less then 500USD + shipping/duty fees. That bothers me though. Why is there such a price different in the Technics between Canada/US. Well I guess it could account for a better re-sale value ... not that I'd ever sell them!
Thanks, keep the sites coming and I'll keep you guys informed.

I ordered my mk5's from etronics.com (American company).

They have an option for total price including tax/brokerage fees to Canada. It worked out to be cheaper than buying new from any Canadian store I could find.

Numark TT200's (didnt have enough money for 500's...) and a Numark DXM01USB

Total Price: $600USD or about $800CND

Price if bought from Tom Lee music (only place I knew at the time)

Approx 1100$

I highly recommend you just buy from the states and just bring them across the boarder. Some companys pay for the shipping of some products and also in some places there is no taxes.
