Lawyer petitions against Simpsons

What is the world coming too....Bugs Bunny cartoons are twice as bad as anything the Simpsons have dished out.

A Russian lawyer plans to take his case against The Simpsons to the European Court of Human Rights.

That comes after a Moscow court rejected Igor Smykov's bid to have the show banned from Russian TV.

Smykov wants to have the super series yanked off the air, or at least shown at a later time, claiming The Simpsons promotes drugs, violence and homosexuality.

Smykov is demanding $12,400 in compensation from TV channel REN-TV. He claims the show has morally damaged his nine-year-old son.

hmmm...well, he should be responsible for monitoring his kid's actions, so if the Simpsons is so damaging...maybe he should be charged with child abuse or contributing to the deliquency of a minor for his failure to prevent his son from seeing the show, lol.

There is an old claim that every adjuster hears about.....This man buys 25 very expensive cigars and has them insured for $25,000.00. The man smokes the cigars and then claims against the policy stating that they were burned by fire and fire was covered under the policy. Well the insurance company fought this and ended up loosing and having to pay the $25,000.00 for the cigars.

The insurance company then turned around and had the man arrested for 25 counts of arson.

I looked at the title of this thread quickly and thought that it said "Lawler petitions against simpsons".
Made me curious to see what Steve Lawler's problem with system was.

I'm and idiot.

The insurance company also sued him in civil court (as a subrogated claim) for arson. He was ordered to repay the $25,000.
