ATTN: DJ's & Producers. New Internet Radio Show Launching Soon
I'm starting an internet radio station which will broadcast the sets of artists 24/7.
Every other week (on a day/time to be determined) we will do a live 3-4 hour broadcast.
We will have information regarding upcomming events for the DJ's we feature as well as bigger events coming to Austin and around the country. The show will also feature short interviews before and after a live DJ set so that the listener can learn a little bit more about the artist they just heard. There is much more content than that but its still in the works.
If you're interested in having your set added to the 24/7 playlist, please reply to this. Having your set added to the playlist will get the ball rolling for getting your slot as a guest DJ on the show. If you are interested in doing a guest DJ spot on one of the live broadcasts you WILL NEED at least one set in the live 24/7 stream (more would be better). That way listeners know what type of music you play and will be more inclined to tune in to the live broadcast if they've heard you and your style before.
There is still a lot of little things that need to be worked out, I am hoping to have this set up and going the first week of the New Year to kick of a badass upcomming year. I will be putting up a website with forum and chat function for the DJ's to use while they're playing so that listeners can get track names etc.
If you know a DJ or a producer who would be interested in having their music shared, please pass this on to them.
Please PM me and have a set ready to send to me somehow (gmail, AIM, Yahoo, CD).
Space is limited as we are trying to have a diverse group of DJ's as guests. I will be listening to the sets and making final decisions based on the quality of the music, and mixing. So be sure your set is current and something you're happy with.

Glad to see some interest.
Find a way to send me an MP3 of your set. I will give it a listen and possibly have it added to the 24/7 playlist. If you are selected for the 24/7 playlist that will also help get you on the guest DJ list.
You can "yousendit" the MP3 to me if you like using my email address or if it is online somewhere for me to download link me to it.

All of the sets I am gathering will be played in random order on a 24/7 broadcast. The radio station will be set up so you can tune in at any time and listen to whatever is playing.
Then, there will be live broadcasts once every two weeks or so featuring the Dj's we have in the 24/7 broadcast of sets. I won't be able to tell you exactly when your set will be aired as it will be a random time in the rotation.
However, getting your set in starts the process of selection for our guest DJ slots for the live broadcasts.
If your set is selected for the 24/7 broadcasts then you will be notified.
Hope this clears some things up.
I guess what I really want to know is that should any sets of mine be playing on your station, will it be clear that I compiled them and also will you be keeping a list of contact details on your web site so that people can get in touch if they like what they hear? E.g. links to DJs' and producers' web pages etc. Just wondering what your plans are re. the community aspect.

Very valid questions, and I'm sorry I did not make the whole process clear. I'm trying to keep as much information in private as possible until this has launched. I'm finding it difficult to do that as I add more dj's to the playlist and the guest DJ roster.

Yes, while the set is playing it will display the artist name and mix name. On the website there will be a full list of artists and mixes in the 24/7 broadcast list as well as their links to websites and/or contact information for them. Credit will be given where credit is due.
This is going to be used as a promotional tool for the DJ's as well as a resource for some of the hottest new music around.

HAHAHA no no no thats not what I meant lol. I've posted this all over the internet and the strongest response I've gotten has been from trance artists lol. I know this is a trance forum haha.
Oh, and keep the sets coming! Even if you one on there I'm always taking submissions. I will try and only allow each artist to only have 3 sets up at one time, that way we can get a good number of DJ's on the show.
