Recently I flew out out to London, it was so much fun! Got to hang out with kr00t0n (one of the UKTA's) as well as some others. He and I did some record shopping and I picked up some awesome tracks.

Great new tracks Bas. Thanks for sharing.

I loved how funky these were

Christopher Just - I'm A Disco Dancer (John Tejada Mix)
Angels of Love (MK's Jaunty Love Mix)

and these two drove me insane

DJ T - Funk On You
Lars Sommerfield - The Next Step

I absolutely loved how these ones mixed together

Lars Sommerfield - Sundowner & DJ T - Funk On You
as well as
Seamus Haji - Angels of Love (MK's Jaunty Love Mix) & Lars Sommerfield - The Next Step

but didnt like how these two mixed together

Pryda - Aftermath & Tiefschwarz - Warning Siren (Cass & Mangen Mix)

and of course Booka Shade vs. M.A.N.D.Y. - Body Language is always awesome.

I really like this mix . Track selection is spot on , sound quality is great and your mixing is smooth and well planned. Other than the obvious "hits" that are in there you have shown me some other gems to look for. Well done man.

Thumbs up

I thought you made the name up for your mix until I saw the news. They were talking about how London was killing off their double decker buses for more modern looking ones and that's when I saw Oxford Circus on one of the buses destination panels, hence your name popped into my head.

Here's what I think of your mix: Not everybody has my taste in music so I'll spare you the negativity of your track selection and go straight to the technical side of things. Most of the mix was solid except for one aspect, your beatmatching. On some transitions you were cleary off beat. Perfectionist, maybe, but other than that I'm looking forward to some different type of music for your future mix sets.

What's wrong with the track selection? Not a fan of that type of house?

Yes there was definetly a few shady mixes, but unfortunately in my n00bness I'm not sure how to go back and fix them without totally starting the set over . Also I have yet to acquire a mixer that has the cue levels...so my tracks don't always come out at the correct volume.

Oh yeah...
"man apparantly you don't know good mixing, because my mixnig is so much bettar than yours. i'm calling you out stevieboi...if u wer aktually any good than you would c that i'm going places!!"

Was that the proper format for a flame

In other mixes I review I often criticize the dj for the lack of a solid enjoyable tracklist, but taste is a major issue. So I'm starting to learn that if the set isn't my flavor, I will skip critiquing on the tracklist side and go straight to the technical part of mixing. For example if I do a mix using country music and force a hip hop loving kid to listen to my set. The only reasonable advice he can give me is on the technical side of things.
I also do love house, just not this type.

Flaming is for jealous people, I give constructive criticism. Nothing was wrong with your mix except for the one thing I pointed out in my previous post. Everything else was great. The music you used followed a consistent theme and you didn't go off tangent by mixing trance in there.

LOL! I'm actually coming out with a mix pretty soon. As soon as I'm done with my finals at school i'll post one....so you're notice my man.
