here is my first studio mix using er-20 earplugs @ �12 a pair.

i used my 2000w rms rig at home to get an idea of how they would work in a club environment.

i cant belive how little the plugs affect sound quality.

its a techy trancy mix with some great tunes in.

richard gales earplug mixup (32mins 64kbps) [15 mb]

im not looking for feedback or advise on mixing- anyone can mix these days!. just pointing out a fact that you can mix adaquately enough for club performance using earplugs- something that should be taken more seriously.

64 kbps is enough to determine a matched mix from a bad mix. and it makes things a hell of a lot quicker for me to upload and people to download.

Well I believe that these days with cable/adsl people can download 100 meg in no time at all so that is not the issue. Personally if I am going to listen to music I want to listen to good quality files and not some shallow 64k bit rate as my time is precious too

i only have a 512 connection which takes about 1.5 hours to upload.

1 1/2 hours is not long if it means we can all enjoy the mix at a listenable quality.
