your favourite "Queens Of The Stone Age" track

whats it to be?

mine's "The Lost Art Of Keeping A Secret"

Posted by djpaulc on Dec-01-2005 03:28:

i only know about 6 or 7, but i heard them perform 'No One Knows' at the Oxygen Festival during the summer here in Ireland and ...........
That single performance of that song should win them best live act in every award show for the next year. It was unreal! It went on for about 9 or 10 mins. The frontman, i think his name is Josh or something...yer man with the red hair, was doin guitar solo's like there was no tomorrow. He kept building it up to a climax, stopping as if it was finished, and then going again. Its my favourite song of theirs(that i know) anyway, but this is by a mile the best version i have heard. It was on MTV over here so u might be able to get the vid somewhere.

And this is somehow related to trance because......

Relax. I like some of their shit as well.

Mines the one that falls under the EDM category, wait they aren't EDM and this doesn't belong in this section, nevermind.

I was a teenage handmodel is their best track.

Honorable mention goes to feel good hit of the summer, millionaire and no one knows.

is it worth being a dick all the time. fact is that while i don't like all their songs, I'd rather talk about them in 'music' discussion. the fact they're not edm doesn't mean we shouldn't talk about them surely ?

Posted by amphetamine on Dec-01-2005 21:28:

I haven't listen to enough of them to have an favourite yet.

I suppose "Music Discussion: This is where you can talk about Trance, or any electronic music" was just there to fool you into thinking this was an EDM site. My mistake, continue.

Their album was most likely produced with computers.. so its edm then?

Great, glad we got that settled that all music is made electronically in some way nowadays.. and while yes this is a trance forum, and while yes, this thread could have been posted in the CORe.. the responses have all been on topic (other than half of yours, and the replies) so i think this thread is fine as it is.

Why not talk about country music, I'm sure there was some facet of an album done on computer

Great, so now this section is about as respectable/credible as the chill out room, hooray.

No One Knows (UNKLE Reconstruction) is incredible.

I've only heard it in the movie "One Perfect Day" and i've got the mp3, so i'm not 100% sure of the name for the mix

I really need to buy it on vinyl or CD!!!!

And you are just Mr. I only make valuable posts.. you are less credible than the chill out room.

I am pretty sure most members would agree that we can discuss almost any type of music on here... As it happens most of the people are into trance...

However, almost all music is electronically made or produced somehow nowadays.. , so if you want to talk about a country act who you find incredibly interesting and worth discussing, be my guest..

All you do is delete fun. Deleting classic threads, bitching and whining...

And you talk about the credibility of this forum.

Scraping this thread back on topic, my favourite song of theirs is either A Song For The Dead or Lost Art Of Keeping A Secret. Really like Medication from their newest album too!

Aah, gotta love QOTSA.

Posted by DjSimonB on Dec-02-2005 17:29:

Absolutley no idea, I love so many tracks of theirs. Their stuff beats 95% of trance that came out in the last few years anyway
