I always wondered. Lets say Person A has something on EBAY.
Person B wins the auction but does not relaize he bought something he did not want because he is stupid.

Is he

1)forced to pay the amount he bidded for at the end auction price and will recieve it and that it! He has to pay for his stupidity

2)Can contact bidder and say sorry I bidded but I don't want it and the auctioner will say whatever and contact other bidders if they want to item for another price or redo the auction

3)Will dismiss auction altogteher , then what happens can person B his account get supspended if he does not follow through on what he bidded for?

or maybe all 3. One time I bidded on something I wanted and the auction d00d never gave me his info so I did not go through with it.

you can do a joint agreement to drop it and or you could report them for not paying, etc.

pwned

peeps did that with the XBOX too, i wonder why ebay hasnt axed those yet

Granted the burden is on the buyer to know what they are buying, clearly the guy was selling this box with the hope of getting some idiot who doesn't read what he or she is bidding on before realizing, eBay should really try and stop these types of auctions.

Why bother having ebay filter out crap? Just let those stupid enough not to even read the description to lose their money. Obviously if they are too dumb to even read the title of the item they are bidding on, then they deserve to lose their money.

this is so obviously robbery it is a joke that Ebay wont delete those and warn or better yet ban the ******s who do it... I would happily report their ass anytime

all they do is abuse weak-minded people

and to all those who think they are cool and encourage them, well you suck and deserve to get screwed one day by the same kind of individuals..

Couple of things I noticed.

In the first auction, the seller is showing as not a registered member, which leads me to believe that he was banned from ebay for whatever reason. Looking over his auction listing, he was scamming the buyers. Even though it says the box is made by him, and not even official, the listing has all the Xbox 360 specs listed, which would confuse some buyers. My guess is he was reported and ebay cancelled the auction and banned him.

In the second one, the odd thing is that even though the winning bid was so high for the empty box, the buyer left positive feedback for the seller. This makes me think that they are 2 friends and did this for show, rather than an actual mess up. Either that or the seller let him buy it for a reduced price.

Still goes to show you should fully read the description before actually bidding on any item heh
