FIND YOUR PLACE IN THE DIRT, BECAUSE IT'S SURVIVAL OF THE FILTHIEST.....

Posted by Sly_Guy on Dec-02-2005 04:02:

Ok, just so you know, Lawler isn't the tribal master he once was.

Currently he playing all kinds of house, he will play tribal, but not like the tribal of his early lights out / nubreed CDs, or earlier essential mixes.

He has played here a number of times this year [he likes us, and treats us right ], and everytime I've left with cramping arms and legs.

HOWEVER, you can expect filthy house music all night long, grimey extremely club friendly hard, chunky, dirty, sexy stuff he's known for. Still one of the top 3 house DJs in the world IMO, and he will destroy you. Get lots of rest before heading out to this one, and be prepared to lose a few pounds in water weight at least, so bring a belt with extra notches on the low end!

^^ that being said i hope he is playing in a dark, dirty, seedy, nightclub rather than at a big event like goodvibrations

his sound isn't suited to it at all

kind of like Nick Warrens set at Parklife which would have ruled in some filthy little club, but in an outdoor setting to 6,000 people it was severely lacking

Posted by Light The Fuse on Dec-02-2005 04:02:

see i told you these girls were good d:

Posted by AnitA on Dec-02-2005 04:08:

Damn straight JPL

There is nothing sexier than HARD, CHUNKY, DIRTY, DEEP, TRIBAL beats!

OMG Andy, I want to go WMC so bad now!! Hurricane Katrina would be put to shame.

Posted by pkcRAISTLIN on Dec-02-2005 04:13:

who?

Posted by Aesthetic on Dec-02-2005 04:24:

You guys can give house music all the names you want:

Filthy
Grimmy
Dirty
Deep

At the end of the day you're describing a peice of shit.

(that was for PKC).

Posted by tonydanza on Dec-02-2005 04:27:

The possibilities for a "your mum" call are endless there Dave.

mmmmm Lawler is goodness

Posted by pkcRAISTLIN on Dec-02-2005 04:35:

hahaha.

as begic quite rightly recognised, a filthy/grimey/dirty/deep/funky turd is STILL a turd. and cannot be polished.

I'm sure the party people will be glad to rid themselves of two extra pylons on the dancefloor.

HAAAAHA

OBVIOUSLY

coz you dont like nor KNOW house music,

You dont understand that there a specific, different, sub-genres in describing the music!!

Now it gets a bit outtahand when you describe it in some ways, i.e-Chunky (lol sorri Tathi)

But Funky, Deep, Dirty, etc are known terms to describe DIFFERENT sounding house music.

Hope you understand a bit better now

haha

Thanks for the education on music, I appreciate it MissyM.

I was lucky enough to catch him at The End in London when I was over there a couple of years ago and that was a perfect dark dirty seedy little club.!! He's got to be worth sideshows!! and total agreement about Nick Warren as well. The godskitchen room here sadly lacked.

Chunk is necessary as a descriptive word.....Believe me.

'you want some chunk, that makes is chunkaaaahhhy!'
'you want some funk, that makes it funkaaaahhhy!'

Posted by pkcRAISTLIN on Dec-02-2005 05:03:

hahahaha. missy is truly retarded. make the most out of those looks honey

neither begic nor i are debating that there are a bunch of genres under the wider house umbrella.

You dont understand that there a specific, different types of faeces.

peanutty, corny, squishy, hard & liquid are are known terms to describe DIFFERENT styles of shit.

no matter how you describe it though, its still steaming hot turd.

Hope you understand a bit better now
