in west philadelphia born and raised....on the playground is where i spent most of my days...

very disapointing....with the talent that's gonna be at System and 270, I thought Boa would have stepped up to the plate with something big...

chilling out, maxing and relaxing all cool and all shooting some b-ball outside of school... when a couple of guys... they were up to no good...
started making trouble in our neighborhood...

if jazz plays that track i'd be hilarious

but seriously, from what i've heard from ppl, dj jazzy jef is pretty good. I've listened to only one of his live sets tho, it was a wicked set, leaning towards the downtempo, deep, hip-hopish house.

Posted by m2j on Dec-04-2005 00:11:

btw, whats the price for this? regular price?

Posted by Sly_Guy on Dec-05-2005 03:17:

somehow I think for hip hop purists, Jazzy Jeff is more than enough.....to be honest, I am very pleasantly surprised at that booking.

Posted by ChemEnhanced on Dec-07-2005 17:49:

I am so glad I am on call for NYE. If I wasn't I would probably hit this event up as I have wanted to hear Jazzy Jeff for ages...and if I went I would probably be very disappointed

I was at BOA at Ian Guthrie's Techno party over the Xmas holidays and I have a HUGE issue with the heating system in there...my pal & I got there at 10:45 and had to leave at 12:30am because we we're dying from the heat even though we barely danced...I mean its the same as it was when it was TURBO (which is why its been dubbed TURBOA now)...Now I have "heard" that the heat is kept on so that people buy more drinks...if thats the case then I'll never set foot in there again...If its just a rumour then PLEASE have better fans and air circulation and turn the heat OFF.

Uhhh, I'm sorry but this is not true. I was there the week before and it was BOILING hot when there was absolutely no one in there.

thw week before the fukhouse party was the honey dijon party. we were walking around the club & we noticed it was actually chilly in the room.

well whatever the reason...if it gets too hot then why don't you guys get those industrial fans instead of those chessy black ones that hang over the dance floor...I really wanna go back but this issue has to be fixed 1st....the decor is awesome and the sound system is great (albeit too bassy sometimes)....oh and another thing that was fucked up is that when we went outside for a smoke, we had to be searched...AGAIN....that is another reason why we left on that particular nite...

I was at the club on both nights that weekend, and I specifically remember it being so hot during your set and Tedd's set, that I had to go downstairs to get some air. Everyone I was with noticed this heat too.
