Down to Australia for NYE
Planning on coming down to OZ for nye.
since i'll be coming from Canada, cant wait to give up the snow and the blistering cold for the beach and the sunshine.
i'll be pretty much in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane(will not be staying in brisbane for long).
my brother is over there but he is not a party guy.
any good parties you guys recomened? and places i should check out when i'm there?
i'm there for two weeks a week before and after the new year.
i'm getting excited over this since i've never been.
yo yo dude.
another cannuck coming to oz!
if you're in sydney for NYE/NYD...
NYE = dunno but no major trance djs coming down this year (so far).
NYD = Field Day. tickets on the inthemix.com.au for sales forum or through ebay.com.au
check out www.inthemix.com.au whats on for more info about clubs and events.
Make sure you hit up The Garden on a Sunday, visit Home Nightclub at least once for the glorious sound system (best venue in sydney, imo).
In regards to places, check out this thread for some ideas: http://www.tranceaddict.com/forums/...threadid=161259
have a wicked trip!
Do people think that Australia is so small that they need not specify a city?

Originally posted by eRRaTiK sorry dude, just gotta laugh at that. based on that comment you really can't travel anywhere in the world coz of what's happening in those countries also (which you don't see on the news). i can understand your concern but i've lived here most of my life and it really isn't anything new, just a lot more media attention on it on this occasion for some stupid reason. seriously the whole sydney beach thing has been blown waaay out of proportion.

Just don't go to Sydney then. You can still have a good time. Australia's a fucking big place, Sydney's not the only place here.

Originally posted by Plump Funk sure the media has blown it out of proportion, but being arab and coming to oz for the sole purpose of having a good time is out of the question right now!! you say it isn't anything new?? if thats the case then the media should have blown it out of proportion a long time ago.

Originally posted by eRRaTiK let's just say 9/11 changed the way ethnics, arabs perhaps more than others, are perceived by the general public in many places. i don't agree with it but in your mind when do you think it will ever be truly safe to travel again? let's also keep it in perspective here, the actions of a select few in a specific suburb (not the entire state or country) is not representative of the entire nation.
a few drunks were throwing beer bottles now our country is unsafe...... its amazing how everyone thinks australia revolves around sydney.... or how they can drive from syd to melb in 2 hrs

i've traveld everywhere since had no problems at all. the only places that are not safe apparently are the US, england, and now your country.
Give me a home amongst the gum trees
with lots of plum trees, a sheep or two, a kangaroo
A clothes line out the back, verandah out the front,
and a old rocking chair.
*sways*
