is borris worth seeing?

Is borris worth seeing?
I heard his style described as funky and diva-ish
that really isnt my thing
more into the swedish mafia/french house (i know it can be funky but i dont think its the same really) and hard prog

how would you describe his stuff?

Posted by Highmay on Dec-03-2005 19:27:

no, he's not worth seeing...he's a commercial DJ that plays slightly pre dated KTU material...

Posted by Shamez214 on Dec-03-2005 19:49:

No he doesn't.

He's not bad. But he's not good. He plays basically what everyone else is playing in clubs these days.

LOL....coming from miss anti-house herself.

I don't know if people have actually gone to see him, because I can't remember him spinning anything near KTU style material? He spins alot of boring tribal, where everyone dances to the same BPM for hours on end...

Posted by Shamez214 on Dec-04-2005 00:58:

Yeah... I really don't get this KTU thing...

Nothing to get about it, its wrong. I mean, i'm all for hating on something that isn't good, as long as its for the right reason

Posted by Highmay on Dec-04-2005 13:57:

i will admit that i havent seen him since 2002 at exit, so he could have changed his style somewhat...

Posted by Scoops on Dec-04-2005 15:18:

i've seen him play in jersey and the guy can throw down some hard tribal and tech at times

Yeah... back then I don't doubt at all that that is what he played. But he really doesn't now. I've seen him twice in the past 4 or 5 months. And he basically plays tribal/funky/electro type stuff now. What everyone else plays at clubs these days...

it's just the call letters for a horrible, horrible, horrible radio station. oh, and it's HORRIBLE.

It doesnt stand for anything, it's the shortened call letters for WKTU 103.5 FM

What used to be a ground breaking radio station back in the 80s as far as dance music, now a mainly r&b station with some top 40 dance tunes thrown in.

I think they do play Tiesto mix sets and some others late at night though... no clue where they get that stuff from.

(Does Tiesto actually record sets for them)?

Isn't that a redundant statement?
