The TOP 50 Trance Tunes of 2001
As u probly no mr_stamper organised a set of polls inorder 2 determine what TA membesr thought was the top tune of 2001. However, as yet, there has been no listing made detailing the findings of these polls (not that I know of any way). So I thought I'd compose a list of the top 50 songs based upon all the polls that were taken.
Please bear in mind that the results are most likely distorted due to the pairing of tunes into sets of two during heats & semis. Also note that the number of votes is higher than the REAL number of votes as people voted for 2 tunes at once in the heats & semis...

* You may notice that some songs that did not reach finals, only semis are placed above those that reached finals etc. this is due to the vote counting method.
** Votes calculated by adding no. votes for tune in heat, semi and final.
*** During the heats/semis there were three mixes of Iio - Rapture voted on... AvB, Creamer, Riva... When it came to the final no particular mix was stated, therefore I have decided to count the mix with the highest number of votes in the heats/semis - the riva mix. (Iio Rapture would have won had all mixes been counted)
PS. Ther may b mistakes, feel free 2 point em out

Tony Walker - Field of Joy was released october 2000, so why's it in there??
nobody was buying it until it got rereleased inc. flutlicht mix in april 2001. thats probably why.

except I really don't understand how Innocente was so high on the list... I personally thought that remix sucked...

its interesting to see what ppl voted for
it still baffles me how Iio did so well, i mean i dont think the AVB is much to shout about (dont get me wrong i like it and have it on 12") But i dont think it deserves a higher place than tunes like Push or Nu NRG
** dont go mental , i know alot of people love Iio ** lol
[edit start] O and by the way.... i seem to be the only TA who loves Viframa - Cristalle why isnt that on there? It beats 70% of ALL those tunes. For those who havent heard it , its on Politics of Dancing. I still havent been able to get a copy of it, or even a full mp3 but still it should be on there [edit finish]
Three Drives - Ibiza should have been at the bottom!!!
and Innocente definately deserved a top spot, imo...
But I don't really like Urban Train very much....oh well.
I think Exhale and Innocente should have been top spot.

am i the only one that likes foggy - come into my dream ? i think that beats out maybe 80% of the tracks on the list because i usually dont go for that soft or progressive stuff that has such a strong presence on that top 50 list

, must have taken ages. However this is just what most TAs would expect Ralphie B, Iio, Fire & Ice and Push at the top , if im not mistaken these tracks were on here all at the same time...

I can't believe that Dumonde-Never look back is not on the list. Maybey a miscount? Anyway, that was my track of the year 2001.

Was hopin for Paul van Dyk - Vega (Starecase Remix) But Urban Train is wicked tune anyways. And I think Innocente definitely deserves a place on the list. IMO better than Urban Train..
