Is this auction for CDJ1000 a SCAM?
http://cgi.ebay.com/2X-Pioneer-CDJ-...1QQcmdZViewItem
Read below, he states the following:
"Before you take any auction please e-mail me at [email protected] and you can have one for
700USD!!!
i have 6 units"
YES
how do these jack asses get away with it?
Western Union. Those fks!
hehe i dont think thats even a mk2...
Bid on it. If it's not real ebay will email you. I've done it and they've removed my bid.
that auction in dunzo..
next thing... he'll ask you to contact him through private email then have you Western Union the money
Call me naive, and i know ebay don't recommened Western union, but why does a western union payment option mean the auction is a scam? Does it mean that the sellers have been chucked off paypal?

" This listing (5643039086) has been removed by eBay or is no longer available. Please make sure that you've entered the item number correctly. "
HAH!
look like ebay cut the auction...your better off purchasing a BRAND NEW MK2 at guitar center (sam ash or what not), cant trust these online auctions too much for such high-end electronics.

| Originally posted by Nemesis44 No, the way it works is this. If a seller rips you off and it's through pay pal, they can actually go in and debit the seller for you, all you have to do is dispute the trade. The seller then has the burden of proof on their part to prove that they sent the item. If you pay with American Express for example and pay pal still don't help you, as long as you prove that you have contacted them to try and resolve the dispute, AMEX will help you (Used to work for them amongst many other jobs I have had) not sure about the other cards. Western Union don't offer this service so you are on your own if you get scammed. This doesn't mean that if you pay that way you are going to get ripped off, but there is a greater risk of it. The credit card issuers however have no right to go in and help you if you pay via western union as the transaction is between them and you. Pay Pal actually are the official payment method for e-bay so have the obligation to do so. Cheers Nem |
