Infected Mushroom

I havn't seen much talk about this group on these forums.. What's your take on this artist? I have all of their albums and love every one of em. My favorite is probably Classical Mushroom.

Better question: How many IM threads do you think there have been over the entire existance of TA?

Meh, I just used the search again and found a thread.... THe last time I used it i didnt see any, but I was a little drunk, I guess I overlooked it.

Back on topic...Infected Mushroom has its own little niche of die hard fans. Every now and then a psy show lineup thread will pop up in the local forums about IM, Astral Projection, Yahel, or whoever. The fans'll pop out of the shadows and be all omFGWTFBBQFHTAGN!!!11 and then when the show is over you'll never hear anything again.

I'd say that's quite a lot, no? By searching I found around 25 threads only from the last year, so the total number is probably closer to 146 than 1. Some people needs to learn using the search function properly.

They have some great tracks, but overall I think they're overrated. There's better psy out there, you just have to dig.

Agreed.

To me, psy is a bit like country music - it gets churned out like sausage. Unlike country music, some of the psy is actually quite good, but in large part I find most of it just sounds the same. I like to stick to a few artists, which are probably considered cheese, but it's stuff I like and frankly, I'm not interested enough in psy to try to wade through the swamp of crap that's out there.

IM is definitely one group I like. My favourite album of theirs Converting Vegetarians, especially the "The Other Side" disc. It's got some very cool tracks. I've seen them live a couple times and they put on a wicked show.

Most of the psy I like is from artists that I just happen to see live without any prior knowledge of their existance: DJ Treavor, Nuclear Ramjet, Sons of Aurora, etc. Any kind of psy is fun at a party. Especially when you're drunk.

I must admit, they have sold out big time like a lot of israeli acts. They still manage to lay it down live though and one of th best acts I've seen.

The Japs and Russians make some of the best stuff these days imho..

i thinm their alright, their productions arnt what they used to be, but ive seen em twice this year and they can seriously rock a party harder than any1 else i saw this year
