Global Gathering @ Montreal 2006 Wtf?!

After browsing through the http://www.angelmusicgroup.com/ I came across something peculiar:

"This tour will culiminate in an outdoor "Global Gathering" branded festival in Montreal in 2006."

WHUT WHUT WHUT?!?!?!?

Hype or probable? What do you guys think?

As I mentioned before, this is why they have teamed up with people like DKD and Gillette and 514 to do Arena shows and a massive festival in Montreal and Vancouver. With DKD and Gillette they can add the elements of a live act to the EDM side of things and bring the scene to more of Coachella type of festival. I know these guys well and I know that they are not trying to do anything to hurt anyone or the scene, they simply want to put on good shows and develop things that make sense for the public, the scene and their company.

do you know if there going to do a Cream with 514 even if they still do a global gathering and stuff

I heard about this too.If it happens it is great for the local economy and the state of Edm in North America in general.On a continent that most people associate edm with the Roxbury Boys movie, it makes sense to hold this event in a city that has supported this type of music since the days of disco.I am also sure that those responsible have seen the numbers concerning all of the other major outdoor festivals in this city, and I'm sure they will do everything possible to get a piece of this very lucrative pie.

As good as Jean Drapeau would be....could you imagine staging this kind of party with the beautiful Montreal skyline as a drop.(i know you can see it from Jean Drapeau, but...)Unreal vibe.

Le belv�dere on Mount-Royal... jaw dropping view.

Le belv�dere in the old port... another huge place with indoors and outdoors with amazing view of the river, the island and downtown.

you read my mind Malek...
even the PDA setup like the Jazz Fest would be unreal.I can still remeber seeing the fest/Cirque du Soleil event and can not imagine how unreal it would be as an Edm show.

3000$ for an evening there to rent it out...needs to be booked 3 months in advance at least..and no Alchool outside..and very restrictive hours and noise laws...
I checked it out once was going to rent it out.
about 1000 person capacity.
