Global Gathering @ Montreal 2006 Wtf?!
After browsing through the http://www.angelmusicgroup.com/ I came across something peculiar:
"This tour will culiminate in an outdoor "Global Gathering" branded festival in Montreal in 2006."
WHUT WHUT WHUT?!?!?!?
Hype or probable? What do you guys think?
Outdoor GLOBAL GATHERING in MONTREAL?!?! WOUUUUUUUU!
Click on ARENA'S and then go down to the Montreal paragraph to read with your own two eyes...
I wonder if it is really going to haapen?
That's what I'm wondering... :/
Why no ?
there has been how many Arrivals ??
It was only a matter of time before someone did another huge outdoor party !
KrinKer
Holy fawk that would be amazing.
i would be so down with that, sort of like the Sasha & DIgweed Buenos Aires video
I heard about this earlier tho, i think it might actually happen.
Lets talk lineup
This would be insanity...Great for Montreal..And the line-up would be mental..maybe best since Cream 2004??? - Desyn, Diggers, Sander, Ferry, Deep Dish????

| Originally posted by Twoon As I mentioned before, this is why they have teamed up with people like DKD and Gillette and 514 to do Arena shows and a massive festival in Montreal and Vancouver. With DKD and Gillette they can add the elements of a live act to the EDM side of things and bring the scene to more of Coachella type of festival. I know these guys well and I know that they are not trying to do anything to hurt anyone or the scene, they simply want to put on good shows and develop things that make sense for the public, the scene and their company. |
That would be SIIIIICKK!!
Can't wait...Global Gathering or Cream...either one would be just fine!
Add to that; BeB, Aria's 5th Anni, Formula 1 weekend, Labor Day Weekend, Celebration...wow,
overload....
MT
Outdoor festivals with large amounts of people are still yet better than anything else by far I tell ya!!
I have been lucky enough to experience this 2 years in a row now and I wish we only had more of these in Canada... so if it is a go.. w00t
Wow, that would be too amazing!!
Looks like 2006 is gonna be a massive year for the EDM scene in Montreal.
I love outdoor parties. In BC I attended some very memorable ones. I really miss 'em~
i heard the same thing also
the best place would be parc jean drapeau for me
I heard about this too.If it happens it is great for the local economy and the state of Edm in North America in general. On a continent that most people associate edm with the Roxbury Boys movie, it makes sense to hold this event in a city that has supported this type of music since the days of disco.I am also sure that those responsible have seen the numbers concerning all of the other major outdoor festivals in this city, and I'm sure they will do everything possible to get a piece of this very lucrative pie.
As good as Jean Drapeau would be....could you imagine staging this kind of party with the beautiful Montreal skyline as a drop.(i know you can see it from Jean Drapeau, but...)Unreal vibe.
two other great locations:
Le belvdere on Mount-Royal... jaw dropping view.
Le belvdere in the old port... another huge place with indoors and outdoors with amazing view of the river, the island and downtown.
How about the Chalet on the mountain...or is that the belvedere

| Originally posted by ninjahola That would be insanity.... 3000$ for an evening there to rent it out...needs to be booked 3 months in advance at least..and no Alchool outside..and very restrictive hours and noise laws... I checked it out once was going to rent it out. about 1000 person capacity. |
No booze outside = no chance of them renting it
theyre gonna wanna maximize their revenue...

No one likes the Place des Arts venue?
enough space for anything and booze has been served there....obviously the city would have to okay it.
