Matt Darey
Anyone have anything to say about this dj/producer? I was just given a cd by a customer here at work and its a Matt Darey Ibiza cd and from what I have heard so far, I like a lot. My kinda trance. 
I also heard one of his productions on ASOT 186. Really good trance.
he was good way back then when he was churning out original productions.
nowadays he just repackages and re-releases his older work (2005 remix of an older Matt Darey work, probably a 2006 remix on the way). he also comes on TA either apologizing to customers who ordered off his website and didn't get their stuff in a timely manner or responds to some critics.
in other words, he used to be pretty good but not anymore.
cheesy trance
Matt Darey has produced some huge trance hits in the past, his style is very epic and, well how else can I put it, cheesy. However to his credit he has a lot of fans and I repect him as a producer, in fact his latest production "Eternity" is pretty cool, you'll probably be hearing it soon from A-list dj's if you haven't already.

hes had quite a few big hits Liberation, Beautiful etc
His Remix of ATB - 9pm till i come was excellent
Gamemaster is one of the greatest tracks ever made in my opinion, i found the 2003 remix of him being the best version, and also being one of the coolest and outstanding special tracks ever, also Technique - Sun Is Shining (Matt Darey Remix) and Mash Up - Liberation are milestones in his career..
also good quality tracks like Electro Buzz and Nocturnal Delight..
he`s made some cheesy vocal remixes im not gonna mention..

He's made his fair share of class... Gamemaster, From Russia With Love and a storming remix of 1998. But when was the last time he released a new track?
I think Liberation is the one that is on ASOT 186.

he has a BUNCH of new stuff coming up... just check out www.mattdarey.com to hear some of his new projects...
warning: it's not all trance though. he's still faitful to us trance people though so don't worry.

He was great back in the 99 era, but since then hes just been rereleasing the same tunes over and over again.
matt was good until he took his 2 year drug binge in ibiza.. then things changed.. lol.. although I do kinda like electrobuzz and some of the new remixes from his new single eternity..
Matt's alwasy been one of my favorite producers. I encourage you to try and track down all his productions and have a listen. Definately has his own sound, and I appreciate that more than anything. You can see how his sound had evolved from, say, Sasha Essential Mix '95.

Matt Darey is one of my fave DJ/Producers, I love most hes livesets and im listening to Matt Darey - Live at 1015 as we speak, I can't get enough of this beautiful set!
I just don't know why such a tallented guy isn't as popular as other so called "top Djs", surely he deserves to be in top 20, if you ask me.

still a fan of his
saw him dj a while back. gamemaster is the track that got me into trance back when it was released. got to say that to him in person. had a drink with him really nice guy. has a really nice g/f too, great gal.
his most recent production that i like is "nocturnal delight" cant believe it hasnt been mentioned as its a fucking awesome track.
His remix of Wizards of the Sonic is the best thing he has ever done, in my all time top 10 and simply brilliant

Last night I got to listen to a lot more of the cd that was given to me. Really great tunes in there. It was snowing last night, and while driving, this guys set seemed like the perfect mix for the occasion. He does seem to like a few cheesey vocal trance songs but hey, all dj's are doing it now... even my favs. His mixing is on point too. He should dj more often!

yeah i've always been a big fan of matt's production. remix by him that i love is tin tin out- strings for yasmin. AWESOME!!
