Best Psy artists of the year ?

my votes goto Wizzy Noise and Xerox & Illumination for the more upbeat stuff, the X&I album, XI has 2 or 3 mindblowing pieces & Wizzy Noise gave us stuff from 10 o'clock to congee, epocwave, seven deadly sins & punk city.

For the more progpsy sound, I'd give it to Chakra for opacity as well as Human blue for some really good stuff.

hmm, so much to choose from. The Wizzy album was very tasty indeed. Some good tracks on there. For psy, I'd say Dissociactive - Blockout gets my vote. Its pretty groundbreaking stuff that album. Dark driving twisted. Almost every track is a killer russian nightime music. For progressive, I thought Ticon - Zero Siz After was pretty impressive stuff. Very upbeat, smooth sounding prog.

Also looking forward to Slum - Make Rainbow in your Slum. It hasnt been released yet (sometime soon I think), but saw him play it last week. Really huge japanese power psytrance that doesnt fuck around. Could be the favourite of the year for me I think

Don't know if you'll consider it as pure psy, but the Ticon album was hot.

www.psyshop.com helps me decide what's g ood & what isn't. Raking through the compilations will find if I like much of it & from there can track it down to buy or in cases i can't find it ot buy, look at the means which can't be discussed here

It hasnt been so much 'one great artist producing tonnes of gold', but lots of artists each making a couple of good tracks.
