Ayumi Hamasaki (she is from Tokyo). I'm realy digging that Ferry Corsten remix of "Whatever" (
very good track name). One of my favorites trance tracks. Does damage when played out to crowds that don't have a clue about the language.
I also like "Depend On You (Svenson and Gielen remix)".
I don't think she's into trance that much but you should check out those two remixes.
ps: very hot chick too.

I can only think of Yoji.
DJs
Tsuyoshi Suzuki
Acts
Slum
Uni
Phi
Shed
dj shinkawa
he remixed mauro picotto - pulser 2002
he plays harder trance and hardhouse.
What makes adding Japanese trance to your record collection "cool"? no one is going to know the difference when you play it, unles you are playing some super cheesed up J-pop trance remixes. Actually Japanese trance djs suck, Shinkawa, Yoji Biomehanika included and so do the J-pop remixes. If you want to get some good Japanese EDM on the other hand i can reccomend you:
DJs:
Takkyu Ishino (techno, electro)
Dj Aki (DnB)
Satoshie Tommie (house)
Ko Kimura (house, techno)
Takaaki Itoh (Techno)
Ken Ishii (Techno)
Producers:
Ryuuku Disco (Techno)
Co-Fusion (Techno)
Akira Ishihara (Techno)
Hiroki Esashika (electro,techno)
Ayumi hamasaki is a freaking pop singer, who get's heavily remixed...
god i love ayumi hamasaki remixes.....
From what little I've heard of JApanese Trance/Techno, it's been good.... but other genre's, like the stuff Satoshi Tomie plays, isn't as much an appeal...
i would love more Japanese trance. But i dont' know much Epic/UPlifting stuff.

Well, if Japanese is your thing then Ayu has japanese vocals in it, but it sounds terrible.
There was also a track out a couple of years ago called 'beyond the green' but I can't remember who that was by, will check when I get the chance.
Cheers
Nem
check out 19 box recordings
I can only think of Yoji on the hard end, and Satoshi on the prog end... I know of a few DnB Japanese DJ's and a lot of Japanese techno DJ's... but trance is fairly limited over there unless its ubercheesy stuff or prog/borderline techno.
Oh there is a shit load of Japanese producers tho, just not trance, but look under a lot of techno, and even some DnB and especially ambient or noise and you will find a ton of Japanese producers.
Oh and on Ayu (Ayumi Hamasaki), yes she is a girl, no she is not a producer, nor a DJ. She is just a J-pop artist with a good run who has a lot of remixes of her tracks.
Anyways, can't believe this account is still active, thought it would have been banned.
This was Nou on his jacked little brothers account....
