Ibiza Club Openings

I don't really know where to post this in the forum but I'm wondering when the big clubs (eg. Amnesia, Space) in Ibiza open for the summer? I'm curious as I will be on an upcoming tour of Spain in the summer (May/June) which has a stop in Ibiza for a few days and I wanted to make sure that I'm there when the clubs are rolling and the big name djs are spinning so I can experience what it's all about. Thanks for any info. If there's any sites as well, those are most welcome too!

Gaby is right on the money. Sundays @Space is off da'hook. According to Nochemania-a club magazine i picked @Space last summer, the club openings are as follows (I don't know if this is for this past summer or next, but it will give you a good idea when stuff opens Amnesia:June 9, El divinio:June 1, Pacha: June 14, Privilege: June 16 and Space: June 3. Amnesia is the best club in Ibiza,in my opion.(Ice Cannon!!!)Space is a really cool club too but it doesn't always have solid Dj content. But no matter what, if u get there when the clubs are open you'll have a great fuckin time!

Pacha is good value especially on Ministry nights but starts really late and finishes early....Eden is good if you like the cheasier side but in my opinion has the best sound.

Any way the whole island beats anything we have in Aussie

The clubs all open mid or late May.

Here's some impressions I got from some of the clubs when I visited the white island twice last summer.

Amnesia - Really really good sound system. The ice cannon rocks, but unfortunately it was broken when I was there in late august. Gods Kitchen with Ti�sto, Ferry Corsten and Mauro Piccotto was very very cool. Way to much people on the "small" floor when the big acts played, so sometimes you had to cool off on the bigger "House floor".

Privilege - It's big! Lots and lots of people. Some say they have managed to pack 12000 - 15000 people on some occations, but I don't know for sure. You got to visit Manumission on mondays.

Pacha - I only went there once, on Ministry of sound. Pacha is high class with many latinos/latinas and older folks (like myself). I love it! :-) The main floors played a lot of good tech house. There's many bars and a kind of chillout room where they play "normal" music. :-) There's also a smaller dance floor where you could dance to great trance... and an outside terrace on the roof.

Space - Dubbed "Best club in the world", and I have to agree. We Love Sundays@Space rocks!!! Lots of happy people. The same kind of people that went to Pacha could be spotted at Space as well. It's an awesome feeling to party at space on a hot afternoon. Great sound system!

Eden - Nah! Didn't like it. The sound volume was way too high. Distorted sounds and hearing problems the day efter sucked big time. We went on the Dave Pearce's Euphoria and Judge Jules something the day after. SUCKED!

DC10 - Never went there but it supposedly rocked! (According to a coked-up stewardess) :-)

Thanks for all the info, I've bookmarked all those sites you've listed to plan out some good partying when I go.

On that note I wanted to see if any of you tranceaddicts will be heading to the magical island this summer? I've changed plans and will be in Ibiza early August and maybe the 2nd half of the month as well. If possible to see any of you partiers there. Definately looks like I want to be able to hit Space by the sounds of your reviews. Catch ya later!

We haven't decided exactly when yet but it will probably be 10 days in early or mid July. I will definetely NOT MISS sundays@space, Ministry on Pacha and Gods Kitchen. Phew, I get goosebumps just thinking about it. Ibiza - It's not a vacation, it's an experience! :-)

You jus hit it on the head, Eivissa is NOT a vacation, its an experience of a life time. After one trip i've promised myself that i'll visit once again. I can't tell you how many times that fukin island dances in my head when i'm sitting @my desk or @home listenin to bangin trance. to all those going por favor tios y tias; party hard/party safe. PAZ

I went at the end of aug till end of sept for the closing parties.
My fav parties were Sundays at Space, Godskitchen, Technoclub, & Cream. Check out DC10, K5, Bora Bora.

I will be there throughout the summer and I own an apartment out there, SO SUCK ON IT!

I wasn't to fond of eden either. The music was to loud, the speakers were to close and the ppl upstairs kept dropping things over the edge. We did meet jules tho. The pre-party at mambo was good tho and it's in a good location unlike amnesia.

Amnesia was my fave club tho GK was the best night too!

hee heee. I've been going there for 4 years. My friend has been going there for about 13 years, so we bought an apartment on the same block as him. It's only a one bedroom place but there's a sofa bed and stuff. This year i'll be out there with 12 mates!

sure, you're going to the best cities in Spain: culture and music.. perhaps you will find a big differents in every city during the nights. Here are some techno clubs you can visit:

Madrid - Sonique, Arena (they make Space Ibiza parties with the Space Ibiza dj's), Palladium (Splash), Groove, Liquid to hear techno-progressive; Soma, Cool house, hardhouse; Babaou: some trance tracks.

Barcelona - i just have heard about Scorpia and Central.

Valencia have good hard-techno and techno progressive clubs/discos too.

But i dont know anything about San sebastian and Pamplona. If you go to Pamplona on 7th july enjoy the megaparty there, "san fermin" heh
