Thumbs up Tiesto HMH Amsterdam Liveset DEC 3rd

wow, what a brilliant set, reminds me why i fell in love with tiesto in the first place. no cheese, fluff, or overplayed tiesto anthems, just a great track selection and well diversified, there is something for everyone here. i highly recommend this download, its totals almost SIX hours of aural pleasure, once it hits the halfway point it absolutely goes off. my only disclaimer is that the mixing is alittle spotty at times, but thats no big surprise, now is it? the track listing pretty much speaks for itself, copied this from the tracklisting forum:

If this is the mix I THINK it is, it's fuckin' AWESOME....

Rest of the list, minus some Tooth Dekay, is top notch.

Heineken music Hall.....mmm...gotta check this place out too!

DA,

it depends..the Super 8 Deep mix in my opinion is very simple, whereas i prefer to use the rework in my sets when i start to build up towards more epic tracks. its kind of an inbetweener for me, separating the simple type of progressive tracks from the tracks that have much more layered into them.

i like both of them though. the downbeat version of Time Goes By is on one of my recent mixes as a starting track. let me know if you are interested in the set, as i hardly post them on here.

tracklist looks very solid. finally no adagio for strings, no love comes again, and no offence neil, no lethal industry.

me either, i mean how often do you get to dl'd a six hour set, with no interupptions?!!

Posted by stevieboy32808 on Dec-16-2005 00:58:

I think Tiesto's fall to number 2 was a good thing for his ego. It really woke him up so to speak. I also think this set is a good representation that he is here for the long haul. Other than that, great set.

"Oh lets copy every other top DJ's tracks and play em in random order for six hours!"

At least he didnt play aftermath.
