Awe... I miss everyone who used to visit DC!!!

We;; NYC is much better and also his girlfriend lives up there. Plus he hasn't been the nicest person for awhile....sort of stuck if you ask me. But yeah the partying crew has died down plus everyones moved....So Josy we just regeoup and see whos still around. One more thing some people habve turned into straight assholes

Nah, we were partying in DC way before that dude even knew what EDM was - and we'll probably still be parting there long after the rest of the followers have gone.

You seem not too understand this so well so let me tell you. It all started backin in 2003 on Feb.22nd. This were Brian/Vtec and Charlie/DanceFever met me outside before we went inside the club and then he met Josy. After that all 4 were partying at Glow throughout the year and then I met GlitterGurl and Sky Trance and then I started posting on TA because of Brians influence but I know about TranceAddict in 2001 because of my cousin but I really signed up. See yeah then it became bigger because Brian introduced me to Ryan/Seizer? and Erin/Tranc_Eyes and then bigg meet-up for PVD in October 2003 is where I got to meet Peter/BusyChild and Mebot later on it was Beema. So yea we all went to Glow at Insomnia and we all use to see each other. Also there was Jose and DJ Atom X. There where others aswell.

But since people have moved on and Glow new venue isn't all that great its different now. Also Josy you moved 2 hours away from everyone so of course your not going to be able to see everyone as before.

Awe this thread almost made me cry!! To tell you the truth.......it's such a bitch to travel to DC from NYC. Traffic is much worse coming from 95 compared to coming from Pittsburgh. Plus NYC is a trap......almost impossible to leave this city when there is something big going on at 10 diffrent places every weekend. But Ill make it back soon and we all will party it up like the old days......maybe we can play Where's Waldo (opps I mean where's Trancer x)

I can't speak for all the cool kids, but I know that I'm usually either in the very back by the stage (most often when there's a good dance circle going) or up front and center, by the DJ booth.

you can't really blame him since the NYC scene has so many venues to visit....including djs that never come to D.C.

Fair enough, but that's in consideration of the fact that you really only ventured into this scene within the last couple of years. It's like the ebb and flow of the tides, so to speak. Sometimes we're awash with talented DJ's, and other times - we're dry as the Sahara.

Anyway, both Armin and Ferry were resident's at Glow back in 2001, as was D:Fuse, DJ Bossi (of Cosmic Gate), Talla 2xlc, Edgar V, George Acosta, etc. But that was just at Glow.

A DJ being at a certain venue doesn't always mean that it's an exclusive arrangement, it often just means that it fit into their touring schedule. I saw Eddie Halliwell at Nation last weekend, but that doesn't mean that he skipped New York because he doesn't like New York or that NY is lame or anything like that - it probably just means that there weren't enough openings to fit a NY date into his schedule (he was spinning at Nocturnal in Miami the very next night.)

That being said, it does seem as though the NY clubs are always opening and closing due to local NY politics. Buzz @ Nation just celebrated their 12 year anniversary this past October - and thankfully, they don't appear to be going out of business anytime soon! I do wish they still closed at 6 or 8, though - like the good old days.

^^^Damn you guys got Eddie Halliwell last week.....that's sick!!! I never made it out to Avalon to see him this year but do you blame me??? I would really like to see him at a respected venue like Spirit or Crobar.
