Manny tries to get to talk to NYC venues...but they are hesitant b/c they dont think these names will pack a NYC venue. Mike the drive is short you can handle it.

Mike; the dj's are there for the taking; it's just getting people to beileve that we can bring this shit back is the problem. I as an owner am taking a rish by doing this, specially in Philly, which hip hop dominated, but I believe there are still a bunch of people out there that want and need to hear this music, so I'm doing my best against all odds. Hope to see you down bro.

What about Above & Beyond? How can DJs like that not pack a crowd? your not a true fan in this genre if you dont know these producers.

Talla fuckin Rocked Glow a few weeks ago. I was worried it may be a "has been set" like Acosta plays. I was wrong. The music was awesome, and while it's a pretty long drive to go clubbing, if I can go to Philly to see Talla again, I will.

Everyone, if you are undecided - GO. You won't be disappointed.

I didn't check there yet, but has this been posted on www.groovanauts.com

Talla 2XLC - Go (Radio Edit) <-- heard this one? Shame there was no full version

Posted by Zack Roth on Dec-27-2005 07:06:

whats Talla up to lately? Haven't heard anything of his since 03, about the same time he tore Arc a new one.

I would probably drive down there if I was assured he would play World In My Eyes and Can You Hear the Silence.

NYC is a house city for the most part. You'd be surprised how unknown a lot of these guys are to most club owners etc... A guy like Andy Moor gets voted the 46th most popular dj in the world and yet most NYC clubs are like "Andy who?"

He's had alot of productions since then. The Air That I Breathe, Tears Idle Tears and the new remix he made for New Harvest.

Hopefully One14 will show New York who they get and what kind of impact it can make to the east side. They been getting those DJs/producers I wanted to see since I been in the scene.

new york DID get these DJS and they didn't make any impact. it's sad but it's the truth. Victor Dinaire used to bust his ass to bring trance DJs out here and Made Events did a good job booking talent at Arc but those events never did that well. naturally, i was there supporting most of them but our group is small and nyc club owners need to fill their dancefloors in order to stay in business.

sad...

but congrats & respect to One14 for making it happen!

Hope everyone had a safe and happy NYE and wanted to remind everyone about Talla being in Philly this weekend. We hope some of you can make it down for what seems to be shaping up to be a great show.
Speaking of his music, I got new track of his celled "Manifesto" with an Alex MORPH remix which is absolutely banging, and I'm he'll be droping some hotness on Friday for all of us.
See you there!!!

Manny

This should be sick!! Talla hammered it out @ Glow in November; droppin hard, tech-trance.

@Manny, Not trying to jack your thread, but is there a typo on your website? Will Mark Norman and Cosmic Gate be playing One14 on the same night (January 28)?

Posted by One14 on Jan-03-2006 19:04:

Thanks for the correction; my bad. The site is being updated with the correct info.
MARK NORMAN are playing Friday the 27th and COSMIC GATE are playing on Saturday the 28th. Hope you can make it.

Manny
