Question for Cubase users

Is it worth upgrading from Cubase 2.0 to 3.0? I appreciate any thoughts, thanks...

i wouldnt say its worth it..

there isnt actually a feature i use in SX 3 that isnt in 2.0

the only thing better for me were te easy access to VSTi effects in the arrangement window..

3.0 has way more amazing features than 2.0 you just have to get down and dirty with it. At first glance it may seem like the same shit but no its got lots more to offer in terms of versatility with audio and midi. My most favorit feature is the audio warp function, which lets you timewarp or move any part of the audio clip without having to do that crappy cut paste stuff....and its all done within the audio editor..so your nice and close up. Why is this good? well I like to use it for giving some of my percussion a swing or two...there are so many other applications for thsi function ist not funny. Also the the click and play Timestretch is amazing too.. you just select the timestrect icon and stretch your loop or file in real time! now that kicks ass. There are so many new things. I learned all this stuff from the Tutorial dvd's..I hate going through manuals.

I would upgarde for sure!!

yeah, if the timestretch would be accurate, I have to turn the timestretch off, when im importing samples, a 140 BPM loop gets wrong in a 140 BPM track with the timestretch

then you're doing something wrong.. timestretch works perfect here..

i treid the timestretch once and it sounded like a angle grinder

i would say upgrade if you have hardware that thing mentioned above sounds awesome, im currently thinking of getting some hardware so i may be forced to update
